Now reporting that LE is making contact with residents of the apartment complex, possibly going door to door- saying that there is movement going on inside the complex but nothing that we can see.

Been following on abc 33/40. I think I may need a time out, just a few minutes of watching and waiting is making me sick to my stomach. Please let this be it. Please bring her home safely.

I'm also not feeling trafficking ring in this case but one reason cases where it has happened are hard to find is that in the rare situation when the child is rescued alive we usually don't hear their names attached to the trafficking arrests. Victims names are kept confidential and the media stops reporting on the minors names in most cases. We usually only hear that the child was found safe and then we go on to following the next case. There was just a case this year in NC where a 4 year old had been kidnapped by her non-custodial mother and given to a pimp running a trafficking ring out of Texas: Found Alive - NC - Carmen Lowe, 23, & Aubriana Recinos, 4, Fayetteville, 8 Jul 2019

They recovered the girl alive and reported her name because she had not been harmed yet by the traffickers. I believe there are many more cases where the child is not recovered alive and all we have is a missing child case.

That just makes me sick to my stomach.

How do you carry a child for nine months, kidnap her (obviously she was an incompetent mother!) and hand her over to a disgusting monster? As we can see, some women didn't inherit that built in maternal love and protective feeling towards their child(ren).

What always amazes me is after they lose custody of them because they were negligent, abusive and/or both, they fight for custody again or kidnap them. You want them back to abuse and neglect them again, or even worse?

Selling or giving your child to a pimp- I just can't say here what I want to say, I'd be banned for life. Disgusting!

Helicopters have been intermittently present since she went missing. It was also reported they were present at the last commotion at Parkway Villa.

I wonder if the tip was that Cupcake was seen at the complex, but perhaps she's no longer there? It seems to me that if the police believed Cupcake was being held in an apartment there, they wouldn't allow people to mill around, or even go back to the their own apartments. If they're expecting to have to kick in a door and charge in armed, that would put residents in other apartments at risk.

I'm not feeling like this is a rescue mission (I hope I'm wrong). Perhaps it's an evidence/information gathering event. My mind isn't quite ready to go to a darker place.

That's my thinking. Still strange that this many LE would be on scene for an investigation if she's NOT there but with the lack of ambulance/ME and lack of urgency I don't think she is there.

I wonder if they aren’t bringing ambulance/ME out until they actually find her. FWIW that is what agencies in my area have done in some missing child cases - many times there’s only so many ambos/ME vehicles and they’re needed in other places.

Not that I've seen or heard. The reporter on CBS 42 said there has been no medical presence at all that he's seen. Just LE.
