Wasn’t the first description of a blue or dark with peanut butter bumper? I wonder if the make could be wrong and it could be a Ford?

did anyone see the video it was live of the child describing the vehicle? I didn’t see it but I heard about it. Wondering how sure he was about Toyota.

probably not an avenue worth pursuing especially because of the circumstances with PS, but I’ve seen a blue/tan bumper at the complex on google maps and it makes me curious.

“probably not an avenue worth pursuing” actually it is! I wondered why they said Toyota brand when it could be any make. I’ve seen the Ford SUV the same dark blue/tan bumper standard color. I think Toyota brand was named because the person questioned I think Patrick might have had the Toyota.

Apparently it's that large building next to the home. The green house is a residential home. Another poster said there is a sign on the Daycare building but some of the letters are missing.

I think it is possible that the other child did not run all the way to the awaiting person/vehicle or wherever they were told there would be candy/a puppy/whatever.

We cannot see anything further than the range of the video. I wonder if we could see a longer segment of the video exactly when we would see the other child wandering or running back. If it was quite quickly.

It could even be that the person who was watching them realised they weren't there and started calling for them. One child quickly wandered back, KM was picked up and taken by POI #2 - because he couldn't carry both of them.

Either way, the other child got one heck of a lucky break. imo

Yes, the second child probably was called home or ran home on her own. She lived there, I believe. So it would be easy for her to know to run back home quickly. Cupcake was more vulnerable, imo, being away from home and basically unsupervised.

You can see the playground very clearly in this shot. Did CC's brother say he was playing on the playground at time of abduction in one of the news videos? Or am I just remembering incorrectly?

I haven't heard that. The playground looks like it's more for young children.

Just because we hear more about crime does not mean that rates are rising.

That may be true, overall. In this area it is high. We have gang members introducing their children to gang life, male and female.

The first ALEA alert reads, "a dark colored black or blue S U V possibly an older model Toyota 4 Runner with rims and a tan protruding bumper."

The updated alert says, "**UPDATED INFORMATION** ** THE VEHICLE IS A 2001 - 2006 TOYOTA SEQUOIA**

The ALEA alert was updated when reports surfaced about the man and woman luring children with candy and prior to the arrests of PS and DB. See below:

Can we discuss the need to protect the identity of suspect #2? If they think PS is the suspect why would they not say he has been upgraded from POI to suspect?
Man #1 could be a friend of or in a group of friends with the suspect so I would think naming the suspect could better help locals identify man #1 if they were aware of who the suspect was known to hang with.
I’m just puzzled why a suspect’s identity would be protected. Any thoughts?

Maybe they don't have all the forensics and DNA tests back, in order to charge him yet? So to name him publicly, without any of that, could be a problem.

I would hate to think a fire lane is kept under lock and key, sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

FD has bolt cutters on the truck or master key.
Housing authority may open it for maintenance activity.
If they left it open cars would up and down it creating even more of a hindrance to FD

I think also that tells me that they have either more than one witness, or more video. I don’t think that they’d make that claim unless certain.

Is it normal to wait this long for DNA results on a case that is probably at the top of the stat list?

ALEA would have had a rush on it.
Lots of exclusionary dna tests unless they had blood evidence. Randomly swabbing a vehicle could be dozens of samples and hundreds of hairs.
It’s a lot different when they have evidence from a victim (fingernail scrapes, semen etc.)to match POI
