This article is saying parents and extended family are on scene - which, to me, means at the time the reporter was. We all know that at least dad and probably mom were not on scene when it happened. The only family that lived there was the cousin. Supposedly the only other family member there during the party was the brother.
In the first press conference, Deputy Prater said KM's mother was "in the area" as well as some other relatives (shortly after the 5 min mark in the video below). I understood that to mean that she was somewhere at that complex. MOO

Great news is that it rained, right? This will be great for the scenting.
Yes, it rained today & is actually quite chilly out. I really hope babygirl is warm & being taken care of somewhere where she is safe.

Excellent. This is good for the dogs. Perfect.

ETA: Obvious downside of course is the washing away of potential evidence, if there is any outdoors.

I changed my original post to another child as I may have read on a site not approved. For some reason tho I thought it was a reporters tweet. I'll leave it at that.

Not if you ask my dog, she came in & was scratching her paws on the carpet & trying to bury the wetness from her paws. She was wearing jammies, but she won't let me use her rain boots on her, so wet paws it is!

(We need a whole thread about doggie jammies and boots, moo)

I don’t understand why they can’t get a 24 hour DNA turnaround??? We can do it in less than that in the UK if a matter of life and death and the Chief is willing to pay for it. I accept that we are tiny in comparison to the USA but ergo the more crimes and higher the population equals more forensic labs surely ?
I just can’t wrap my head around what takes so long??? MOO

It can be done here as well. And they may have it just not releasing it.
I'm curious about the DNA results too. I strongly believe LE or at least the FBI can get results quickly. In a local case here (Washington State) a few years back a little girl went missing and was found deceased just outside the trailer park where she lived. Local LE went to each trailer and asked for DNA samples from the males. As they collected them officers ran them over to the State Police lab a few miles away. They had results in less than a day. They caught the perp, who lived in the trailer park.

So it can be done. IMO they have results, if any DNA from Cupcake was found in the Sequoia that is. So IMO LE/FBI is either holding back or nothing was found. I'm also curious if PS's DNA has been linked to any other cases.

Also, detailed information on search warrants hasn't yet been released to my knowledge. I'm assuming they've searched the homes of the two people arrested. Any other possible searches that would make sense?

All MOO.

Yes. But I took it to mean they were all there as of the time the people talking were reporting on it. She was DEFINITELY there by the time the police and journalists were. IMO she wasn’t there until after she was called. Just like the dad.

@Asme27, we cannot post or discuss anything from KM's parents social media. If they are interviewed by MSM, that is allowed but not their personal accounts.

We can link the social media accounts for any POI's or suspects IF they are named by LE. MOO

Ok thanks. I thought that was the case but then I thought I remembered seeing the SM video of the dad somewhere so I wasn’t sure. Thanks

My like button is wonky right now. So I'll let it rest a bit and see if it behaves.

The question asked by the reporter was, "Where were her parents at the time?" ("At the time" meaning when she was abducted.)

Deputy Prater says, "I know her mother was in the area along with some other relatives. But, that's all I'm going to say about that right now." Again, just after the 5-minute mark. MOO

You were correct. It was a reporter- but it’s a video. And you can find it in post 805.

So far authorities have searched 4 main areas.

First, the site of the kidnapping, the Tom Brown Village housing community.

This is where police have set up its mobile command center.

Then they searched the Woodside Condominiums on Roebuck Parkway.

There police found the blue Toyota Sequoia listed in the AMBER Alert.

Monday, authorities searched the Parkway Villa Apartment Complex in Center Point.

We're told this location was connected to one of the two persons of interest.

Those two individuals were charged with crimes unrelated to this kidnapping.

One of those persons of interest, Patrick Stallworth, was released from jail on a $500,000 bond for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 found on his phone.

The other person of interest, Derrick Irisha Brown, is being held with no bond for probation violation and kidnapping in another case.

Then finally on Wednesday, police descended on Marland Apartments on Jefferson Avenue.

After searching there for hours, Birmingham police, with assistance from the FBI, came up with nothing.

On Sunday, police plan to do a grid search in an area where another person of interest is known to frequent.
Community prays, search continues one week after Kamille 'Cupcake' McKinney was abducted
Replying to myself for simplicity.
I wish I could insert this in the first day after kidnapping - Sunday:

WIATreported Sunday night that police personnel will be canvassing the area of Shadow Wood Circle in search of Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney.

Yes, and I'm sorry if this sounds blunt, but I think the deputy was simply trying to say in a nice way that the mother wasn't watching her 3-year-old. I'm not victim-blaming, my heart goes out to the entire family as they are undoubtedly devastated, but it's simply the way it sounds to me. MOO
