So far authorities have searched 4 main areas.

First, the site of the kidnapping, the Tom Brown Village housing community.

This is where police have set up its mobile command center.

Then they searched the Woodside Condominiums on Roebuck Parkway.

There police found the blue Toyota Sequoia listed in the AMBER Alert.

- Sunday:

WIATreported Sunday night that police personnel will be canvassing the area of Shadow Wood Circle in search of Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney.

Monday, authorities searched the Parkway Villa Apartment Complex in Center Point.

We're told this location was connected to one of the two persons of interest.

Those two individuals were charged with crimes unrelated to this kidnapping.

One of those persons of interest, Patrick Stallworth, was released from jail on a $500,000 bond for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 found on his phone.

The other person of interest, Derrick Irisha Brown, is being held with no bond for probation violation and kidnapping in another case.

Then finally on Wednesday, police descended on Marland Apartments on Jefferson Avenue.

After searching there for hours, Birmingham police, with assistance from the FBI, came up with nothing.

On Sunday, police plan to do a grid search in an area where another person of interest is known to frequent.
Community prays, search continues one week after Kamille 'Cupcake' McKinney was abducted

(I edited your quote include your insertion...Is that the right place?? Sorry, cross eyed. If so, copy and repost, maybe add “revised”. If not lemme know and I’ll correct it. Brain has sputtered out I think for the day.)

Praying these searches bring little Cupcake home. No matter the circumstance she needs to come home.

Replying to myself for simplicity.
I wish I could insert this in the first day after kidnapping - Sunday:

WIATreported Sunday night that police personnel will be canvassing the area of Shadow Wood Circle in search of Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney.
LE really seems to believe Cupcake will be found in an apartment or residence in one of the neighborhoods in the area. I wonder what evidence leads them to these particular locations.

According to google, Woodside Condominiums - where police had their 2nd initial search - is on Shadow Wood Circle (and Roebuck Parkway? Though it looks like it is Centrepoint Parkway. Are they the same route?)

So I think that Shadow Wood Circle and Woodside Condominium search may be one and the same.

1. The second man in the video is the suspect. Per chief.
2. The search will be of known places the suspect frequents.

Is it just me or how does this make any sense at all. What is he suspected of? Is it the man who they arrested? If so, why is he not in jail. He could jump in a car and be in BFE in 3 hours. I'm just not seeing any logic in what's going on right now. If it weren't for a missing beautiful child, I would have left the theater a long time ago. So frustrating.

The apartments they have searched seem to run up and down the parkway. Do they have CCTV on the parkways there? Maybe that is what is leading them to these different locations, and is why they think KM may have been moved around.

Yes, and I'm sorry if this sounds blunt, but I think the deputy was simply trying to say in a nice way that the mother wasn't watching her 3-year-old. I'm not victim-blaming, my heart goes out to the entire family as they are undoubtedly devastated, but it's simply the way it sounds to me. MOO
Yes, the family has enough to worry about without people blaming them. It happens in every case. The focus becomes more on the parents and less on finding the child and the fact that it is the perpetrator who has committed a horrible crime.

I think that's why LE are so careful about what they say publicly and warn against posting rumors on SM.

It just gives them more work when the information is false. You never know when something may be important but they have to weed through all the stuff that turns out not to be credible, too.
You would think if people really wanted to help Cupcake get home they would just go to LE instead of posting it.

Hi Ms Betsy!I have been close to posting , ‘That I believe (just a theory):
Searchers possibly had a K9 bloodhound hit on Cupcake’s scent at one of the other search locations but prior to executing their search she had been moved?’ They’re going to keep doing grid searches on any area’s their targets have frequented.

That is but one explanation or theory for the emphasis on grid searches of neighborhoods in the immediate area.

Just My Opinion

They may not have enough evidence to arrest him. They believe several people are involved. I'm not sure if they are going to search in the area the POI or the suspect frequents. I thought they said the POI, but that could mean either one or both.

These cases are always frustrating. I can't imagine what the family is going through. It must be so hard to get through each minute of the day.

Oh, wow, thanks for that. I did not know the dogs had picked up her scent at one location or that they believed she had been moved. I wonder which location it was. Imo

I was a bit confused - I haven't seen anything about a dog picking up KM's scent anywhere yet.

But I have seen that police think there is a possibility that she may have been moved around.

The chief said they also don’t have any specific place Kamille might be and said they have considered the possibility that she is being moved around to different locations. “We haven’t closed the door on Birmingham or anywhere else yet,’’ he said.

RBBM - Yes they are one and the same.

Would you happen to know if the apartments they have searched are 'nicer' apartments? (If you are a local, or would know such a thing.)

Woodside Condominiums
Parkway Villa Apartment Complex
Marland Apartments

I am still wondering where that $50,000 cash bond came from, and if police are following the money - if KM could be with a more 'well off' perpetrator now.

The source of the $50,000 payment, I suppose, could have been somehow concealed. But I think - and hope - that police are generally pretty good at tracking down an original source.

Wait what? I have seen no reference of any scents being picked up or reference that her body has been moved. My quote was referencing the Chief’s response to the reporter’s question on if she could be being moved around (alive), as in live holding locations being transferred. I haven’t heard any references to K-9 hits?
