What is this ... in the video. What I have circled in red. Is it a person standing there watching the girls? It doesn't look like a piece of playground equipment to me. I have tried to see it in google street view, and there doesn't seem to be anything that looks like that among the playground equipment.
And it is not one of the two people who walk past.

Also, why did the 2nd person step onto the grass and turn a bit? Do you think he knew a CCTV camera was there and he was trying to stay out of it?

It looks like a garbage can to me.
And I don't think they were aware they were captured on camera.
I think the suspect stopped and showed them something or said something to them when it looks like he stepped on the grass. Then one of the children started towards him and then turned around and followed him, along with the other child, as soon as he continued walking and they disappeared behind the Daycare. Imo

Yes, both LE and family, and probably others, searched the area that night, and most likely many other times. Imo

If this account is true - and if the Chief is right that she was taken just minutes after the end of the video - there has to be another man involved - because we saw man #2 leading the two children away and then this video ends - I’m still thinking she was chosen and the vehicle is just out of sight of this particular camera-if we believe this account is what happened - IMO

Yes, it sounds like there had to be another person waiting in the vehicle for the eleven year old to have seen them get out of the vehicle and pick her up. Imo

I think LE would have mentioned another person standing there. I also don't think they would have carried out the crime if there was a third person standing there.

Whatever the object is, I don't think it has any relevance to the investigation.

Yes, this is the first time I've heard of an abduction case of a child where police believe several people are involved. I can't imagine what the motive might be.
However, if there are others involved, maybe there is a better chance that more people know them and police will find her with the help of the community. Imo

Getting this on the thread for our locals, in particular:

6:17 p.m. COMPANIES GET INVOLVED IN RAISING AWARENESS FOR “CUPCAKE”

Companies across the Birmingham area are trying to help raise awareness for 3-year-old Kamilee “Cupcake” McKinney.

Buddy’s Florist is handing out free purple bows that can be hung around the Birmingham area to show support for the search.

More Than Conquerors Faith Church, Crime Stoppers, V.I.R.T.U.E., Inc. and K & J’s Elegant Pastries have all joined forces to host “Cupcakes for Cupcake” this Sunday. They are looking to collect donations in exchange for cupcakes to help fund the search for Kamille.

The group will also be accepting donations as well. The event will be held noon to 4 p.m. at More than Conquerors Faith Church.

Does anybody know what time the search is today? I pray KM is found, one way or the other her family needs to know The not knowing would be the hardest for me. I am out of ideas and reasoning. I have a theory and I pray it is not true.

When I think about "searches", I think about Maleah. Literally, no one would have found Maleah unless her killer had confessed. She was a state away, tossed out of a car, in a trash bag.

Yes, the family has enough to worry about without people blaming them. It happens in every case. The focus becomes more on the parents and less on finding the child and the fact that it is the perpetrator who has committed a horrible crime.

I think that's why LE are so careful about what they say publicly and warn against posting rumors on SM.

It just gives them more work when the information is false. You never know when something may be important but they have to weed through all the stuff that turns out not to be credible, too.
You would think if people really wanted to help Cupcake get home they would just go to LE instead of posting it.

When did LE allege that the mother and the aunt didn't keep an eye on her?
We already know that no adult was present when she went missing. The mother was at the complex, (and/or aunt) the kids were outside playing.
What else has been said that might not be true?

I think they mean others are involved, meaning not innocently.
But yes, it is likely that someone else knows something, and is not saying anything. Imo

That may be why they are just calling him a POI and they just want to talk to him.
The other guy in the video knows he is a suspect because they have already located him.
Either way, if the POI is involved he must know it won't be long until they find him. That he has not come forward yet is a little suspicious.
It's hard to believe he hasn't heard about the case after 6 days.

To me the first guy looks like someone just out walking or jogging. He even swerves to avoid the children. I'm not sure about the second guy. He interacts with the children and they do follow him. My impression of the man they arrested was he was very tall and fit and had short hair. The guy in the video didn't look tall. But the LE said he was the suspect just not naming him. I have no idea.
