I love this. We don't always see this type of community participation in missing children's (or adult) cases. I think it's wonderful.

If proceeds are going to Crime Stoppers, I wonder if the reward may increase?

I don't know. All I know is that for as long as I've been a member it is only the victim of the crime whose social media is allowed. No one else in the family, just the immediate victim.
For example, if a woman is abducted her SM is allowed, but not that of her husband, mother, sister, or anyone else in the family.

At least that's how I understand it.

I just looked up the location of this fundraiser. It is very close to where the search at the Marlon Apartments took place (due to a false lead). Across the city from TBV. I wonder if some of cupcake’s family are from this area.

Yes, and from what I can tell, everyone seems to do a very good job of it.
I wasn't implying that people did not dig deep.
In many cases posters have put the pieces together and formed theories that turned out to be right.
That still doesn't mean we can just post or discuss things on SM.

Based on this article, it looks like they're raising funds to support the search effort. And, I'll add that every little bit helps. MOO

SEARCH FOR ‘CUPCAKE’: A week since the 3-year-old was abducted
More Than Conquerors Faith Church, Crime Stoppers, V.I.R.T.U.E., Inc. and K & J’s Elegant Pastries have all joined forces to host “Cupcakes for Cupcake” this Sunday. They are looking to collect donations in exchange for cupcakes to help fund the search for Kamille.

I just wish we knew where the searches were taking place. I feel it would be extremely telling if the searches were being done near center point &northeast bham vs west Bham vs areas near TBV

I think it would help us rule out or in certain POIs possibly if we knew.

I have a feeling we won't know until the search is over. I hope they find something. If after today they still don't know anything new it's going to be very discouraging. With each day that passes there is more of a chance that she won't be found or she won't be found alive. Imo

Furthermore, Sgt. Williams says if they find anything notable he’ll give me the updates later. Right now, he tells me they dont want anything impeding their investigation—including finding 3-year-old Cupcake—safe and sound.

With all due respect to the policy makers here I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with this. If my wife or daughter are abducted I would want my comments broadcast over the biggest loudspeaker in the world. Maybe it’s just me but I would welcome anyone quoting what I had to say while enduring the absolute heartache of dealing with a missing loved one.

It was reported that a man was enticing children with candy. So I think people are just trying to figure out if they were just randomly picking things up while playing or one of the men threw something on the ground to attract their interest.
It may or may not be significant.

There is also a thread with resources of what to do if you have a loved one missing, setting up an official page would be recommended. That would be the absolute best way to get comments broadcasted everywhere.
