I agree it’s the yellow camp print posted above. As far as the “loud clothing”, if they were home, um relaxing, and didn’t anticipate Law Enforcement then they’d be wearing whatever they want. The African American female may not know what her mate is up to if there was a girlfriend. Or not.

I mean, either way, they parked their own car outside their own condo out in the complete open with other people around while the subject of an AA and all over the news... I think whether their clothing was "loud" or not was the least of their concerns IMO.

The facts about child abduction cases in the US
As officers continued to search for Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney nearly two days after she went missing, Chief Patrick Smith of the Birmingham Police Department spoke about how much the disappearance of the 3-year-old girl had had an impact beyond the neighborhood she had grown up in.

[...]

While the exact details of McKinney’s abduction have yet to be revealed, there are studies that point to common trends when it comes to child abduction cases. One aspect is that child abduction cases where strangers kidnap children are very rare. According to a piece in Reuters, fewer than 350 people under the age of 21 have been abducted by strangers per year in the U.S. since 2010.

This is compared to the active list of 424,066 children considered missing in the country as of 2018.

“From 2010 through 2017, the most recent data available, the number has ranged from a low of 303 in 2016 to a high of 384 in 2011 with no clear directional trend,” Reuters stated.

[...]

What also makes McKinney’s abduction an oddity is her age. Although girls are the typical victims of abduction than boys, children between the ages of 12 and 17 make up nearly 80 percent of abduction cases.

One of the most notable findings is that with a few exceptions, most missing children, whether they be runaways or those who are abducted, the majority of those who are kidnapped are often found alive. The common data points to only 1 in every 10,000 missing children not being found alive, according to organizations like Poynter and Parents.com.

[...]

Within hours of McKinney disappearing, an Amber Alert was issued across Alabama, notifying the public to be on the lookout for her. Since being implemented nationwide in 1996, a total of 957 children have been successfully located.

I agree with you....... I do not think it is now or ever been a wise thing to do. Different cultural thinking seems to exist though on this matter...... If we were all alike it would be a dull world......moo

When I was in college, I lived in married housing along with many international students and their families. Of the ones I was familiar with, most if them let their kids go out and play without adult supervision. I did not. My next door neighbors were from Pakistan. In the morning they opened the door and let their toddler go downstairs and play all by herself. Another student from Albania let his daughter go wherever she wanted... alone. Even a few student friends from the U.S. (rural areas) would let their kids go play without supervision. That's just how it was.

This provides a great deal of perspective as to how rare this sort of thing is, especially when her age is factored in.

One of these two people has to be talking by now, and I’d be surprised if we didn’t get more information soon.

If members are confused about what social media can be brought here, just try to remember this:

You may ONLY bring social media of a victim, an officially named POI/suspect, MSM, LE or a post by an Administrator of an official Missing Person page (so no comments by John or Jane Q. Public can be discussed).

I actually think it's the norm, even across America.

I know we played outside alone all day long when I was a kid in the 90s. Especially in the summer. I grew up in the city which was mostly minority.

In my town (I live in NJ about 5-10 minutes from Philadelphia) kids are always walking around and playing outside with other kids. Just three houses down from me is a family with 3-4 young boys (ages 3-10 maybe) and they are outside, in their front lawn, playing most of the time. And my town is predominately white. Kids are always playing at the baseball and football fields while the parents are watching the older kids play.

But I do know some areas are different and I know this from friends that live in different areas. They wouldn't imagine even letting a 10 year old go outside alone.

It really is more rare than people think.

I hope you're right. They need to find her FAST. MOO

Sorry, I tried reading the rules for the forum and thought maybe if I omitted names or references it would be okay. Thank you for clarifying though!

Yesterday when they released photos of the POI and vehicle, we knew that an identification would follow in short order.

Now that these two have been apprehended, and law enforcement seems convinced of their involvement, I’d expect some sort of a resolution in the near future.

If not a resolution, a clear direction. If one of them doesn’t provide answers (which I expect), a member of the public might be able to shed some light.

If law enforcement decides to name these two, I’d take that as a sign that they are being less than cooperative (unless naming them is due to formal charges being filed).

Ivey's office to offer $5K reward for information on missing 3-year-old Kamille McKinney | The Cullman Tribune
[...]

Gov. Kay Ivey on Monday issued the following statement regarding the active Amber Alert on missing 3-year-old, Kamille McKinney:

[...]

“I am staying engaged with law enforcement officials on both the state and local levels. While the search for Kamille and the investigation into the case are ongoing, it is imperative that we remain vigilant and report any information that may help law enforcement bring her home.

“In that light, we are in discussions with Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr to finalize plans for my Office to offer a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s) and the location of Kamille.

“Alabama, let’s bring Kamille home!”

As with so many other cases we see here, the POI's digital footprint/electronic data may prove to be critically important in not only helping to locate Cupcake but in helping LE to determine the motive behind the abduction.

The FBI is no doubt doing a deep dive of the data even as we speak.

All will be brought to light.

Just joining. I am shocked by this being the 3rd female child taken recently. Definitely seeing a pattern here. Scary. Are these POI the wrong couple? A 4 year old was the only witness. We all know that even adult witnesses are sometimes incorrect. This is incredibly heartbreaking that these babies are just being snatched up off of the streets like this. Come home Cupcake. MOO

The witness was an 11-year-old boy.

Amber Alert: 3-year-old Alabama girl said to be in 'extreme danger'
An 11-year-old boy said he saw a man get out of the SUV, pick up the 3-year-old and put her inside, the news outlet said.

I thought we would have more information this morning.

The representative seems so solemn at the presser.

My concerns.....

The two POI parked at their home, clearly not hiding. They have not released their names.

Unknown time of actual abduction not released. Stated at presser, delay due to not reporting, to LE but no reason why. Was the family of the birthday party trying to locate mom, thinking maybe she was with her?

Now they are reaching out to other states.

No leads on her location.

The above are my opinion only.
