Kamille's shoes were found in the parking lot of the Woodside Condominiums, where the POIs were detained ????...............moo
I took it as her shoes were found in the parking lot of Tom Brown Village. If original poster could please clarify.

What about that white car you can see behind the vehicle of interest (bottom left corner)? Is that a gas pump there that someone is getting out of their car for? It doesn't look like one to me. Is it just parked off to the side of the station?

Law enforcement isn’t sure about that either.

My fear is that “other people being involved,” came from one of the two people in custody, as a way to shift blame.

Hopefully that’s not the case.

Oh shoot. Like that psychopath who claimed she dropped her son Gabriel off with a couple who came to adopt him? (After telling the dad that se stuffed his little blue body in a bag and three him away). So sad.

I hadn't thought about it that way. That's a good point. Beyond that, other people being involved, the POI not being named as suspects, no arrests, not knowing where she is, and parking out in the open like nothing happened make me think they are just middlemen if they aren't just outright lying.
Okay, but 'just middlemen' cannot be minimised, in the case of child kidnapping. If something bad happens to her, HE is responsible as well. It doesn't matter if others are involved, or if it was someone else's idea or plan---if he put her in his vehicle and drove her away from the party, he is going to be in prison for a long time.

I apologize and have posted a clarification for Cody22’s and peppertheyorkirpoo
Posts.
Sorry for the confusion I should have included a <snip> to indicate she might be barefoot because her shoes were found in the parking lot where the birthday-day party was taking place and indicated it was a quote from Deputy Chief Prayor

I was wondering the same “if they are the correct people” because that TAN BUMPER comes standard on that truck so there could be many Tan Bumper Blue Trucks out there.

  • #728
When I read that the bumper was described as "peanut butter brown" it sounded to me like it was a child's description, an adult would have said "brown" IMO
I’m not so sure about that...I recently described a vehicle’s color to my sister as “what a bowel movement the day after you ate a lot of Fruit Loops looks like...”

But I’m pretty immature.

Yup. If that baby is killed he's going to be guilty of felony murder.

Not minimizing, obviously he is at fault and should be punished and spend many years in prison. Just saying it is crucial to know if they are middlemen and handed them off to someone else/part of something larger. It absolutely does matter if others are involved for the sake of finding Cupcake.

World News Tonight with David Muir/ABC stating FBI now involved and Kamille is in "extreme danger." Not sure if this has been stated already since I haven't read every post here.
Continued info from same News Outlet: FBI helping local authorities expand search to GA, TN, FL and MS.

Questions - chief answering:
  • Don't want to close their minds or focus on one thing re: is it a stranger abduction
  • Are the people of interest cooperating? Not going into complete detail into what they have or depth of the investigation but they are following every lead, two people in custody, they are POI, exhaustive search for video linking them to the location/whereabouts/crime. "Takes time to follow leads and get all LE on same page to make sure everyone is focused on putting in their part of what we need to close this thing"?
  • Safe to say POI are answering questions
  • Amber Alert is now expanding - important due to the amount of time that has passed and seeking attention of people out of state who may have further information
  • No connection at this point between the parents and the POI but investigation is still ongoing
  • THEY DO THINK OTHERS ARE INVOLVED BEYOND POIs (16:41)
  • delay in Amber Alert wasn't due to police, it was a delay in reporting, a little bit of a delay as family/attendees of birthday party were searching on their own and thought they could find her
  • Can't give information on the time lag of how long between reporting and missing
  • Again, no idea where she is at this point. Remain hopeful she is still out there and alive and they will return her to her family.
Sorry, but why would the family and other party attendees search on their own, thinking they could find her, when she was literally witnessed being abducted by two people in a vehicle? That’s ridiculous. RIDICULOUS.

Yes, it's been stated since the beginning.
And AMBER alert spread to other states...would lead IMO to FBI involvement, though I know they are often called in regardless.
The FBI is assisting in the case.

I truly don't understand why the AA has not been expanded yet. Is there some kind of protocol or rules that prevent them from doing this? Do they need evidence beyond it just being a nearby state? You think they would focus on Louisiana too seeing as New Orleans can be a hot spot for all sorts of things, especially trafficking.

Well these 2 best get talking. Let's hope they have and why LE is not letting any details out right now. Hoping...….

True. It seems like they are two main scenarios possible here.

1---He and a woman friend kidnapped her and have her hidden away somewhere, hopefully alive, but maybe not. Time is of the essence. :(

2---He passed her off to some other sick criminals, and we need to find her immediately.

3. [thank you Msfacetious]. He is innocent and it is a false identification of him

It was only a singular young child that witnessed it. They could have noticed she was gone and thought she wandered off and ran around panicked looking for her in absolute chaos I'm sure before they even heard what the child had to say. Their first instinct was likely not that she got taken by someone in front of all these people. For all we know the kid who witnessed already went home before they even noticed she was gone and it didn't get back to them for hours after. A million different things may have happened.

Family holds out hope for Kamille ‘Cupcake’ McKinney’s safe return
As so many people search for Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney, her family knows someone has information that can lead to her return.

[...]

“I miss my baby, I want her to come home,” said LS, Cupcake’s Grandmother. “That is all I want is for my baby to come home.”

For Cupcake’s family, words are hard to come by. It’s been almost 48 hours since the 3-year-old was reportedly kidnapped at a weekend birthday party at Tom Brown Village.

[...]

Flyers are going up around the Birmingham metro area as the Amber Alert expands to other states. For the time being, the family is leaning on their faith, thankful for prayers and full of hope that answers will come soon.

“If you have seen this baby, if you’ve seen Cupcake, call Crime Stoppers, call me,” LS said. “You can inbox me, message me, I am on Facebook.”

YES.
This is one of the things that makes me wonder if the abduction was the initial story. I don't think a strange child was watching Cupcake. I think the 11 year old is Cupcake's brother, (JMO) so I don't think he was gone when she was found missing. I wonder if the abduction story materialized as the adults started to panic.

LE certainly seems to be treating this like an abduction. He's the only one mentioned who gave a description, right? Maybe he's the only one old enough and observant enough tobhave given a detailed description.

So far I see nothing fishy here. I doubt a whole group of people would lie about seeing Cupcake at the party and then kids run in and say she's gone. They probably searched quite a bit before they called. This is not a community that has a lot of trust when it comes to the police.

I'm not implying a big cover up or that Cupcake wasn't at the party.
What I'm suggesting is that we likely have children supervising children here, while children want to be children.
While there is a ball game going on inside which is likely holding the adults attention. (I totally relate to this.)

I'm wondering if perhaps Cupcake simply went missing.... and an 11 year old carrying a burden no child ever should, feels responsible.
If he lost track of her, if she wandered off, I'm concerned he may have made up the abduction story out of fear.

Then the cops find a vehicle that matches on video and a guy the right color, though the woman is black and not white... and now here we are.

Obviously if the POI's admit they took Cupcake, this isn't the case. But at nearly 24 hours detainment without a description of the person or vehicle they handed her off to? I'm starting to wonder if the POI's aren't just denying involvement repeatedly and telling the truth.

Still nothing new. Hoping for a presser in the morning for more info. I realize LE are super busy behind the scenes. I’m very nervous for this baby. :(
