I truly don't understand why the AA has not been expanded yet. Is there some kind of protocol or rules that prevent them from doing this? Do they need evidence beyond it just being a nearby state? You think they would focus on Louisiana too seeing as New Orleans can be a hot spot for all sorts of things, especially trafficking.

I am in a bordering state and have not received an AA.

I’ve driven through parts of Tennessee, and Mississippi today. Only Tennessee did I see digital billboards and no amber alert mentioned.

I sure wish I had a vehicle to be looking for.

How long can they detain these people before making an arrest? We must be nearing at least 24 hours right? So we can hope for some answers in the next few hours based on if they release or arrest...

I am just going to toss this out there. What if the 11 year old only saw the part of the abductor placing Cupcake in the SUV and maybe the perp had backed over her in the parking lot. Afraid because of drinking or record, etc. he disposed of her then went home. This would explain the shoes in the parking lot. This is just a thought.

Sorry, but why would the family and other party attendees search on their own, thinking they could find her, when she was literally witnessed being abducted by two people in a vehicle? That’s ridiculous. RIDICULOUS.

There's not a lot of trust of police in their community. They might have felt they could find the vehicle on their own. Searched the complex first. Maybe they believed the child could've been dropped off somewhere nearby. Or that the kids were wrong and she just wandered off.

They might have been scared of child neglect charges.

A possibly fatal waste of time but there can be an explanation other than a cover up of something.

I wonder if this POI is known to the parents?

I’m not so sure about that...I recently described a vehicle’s color to my sister as “what a bowel movement the day after you ate a lot of Fruit Loops looks like...”

But I’m pretty immature.

Oh my God! I know this is a very serious situation but DEAR LORD! LMAO at this. Thank you, much needed. With that being said, I will recant my statement to say "sounds like a child's description or an immature person. LOL. Thanks again.

Law enforcement isn’t sure about that either.

My fear is that “other people being involved,” came from one of the two people in custody, as a way to shift blame.

Hopefully that’s not the case.

That's where my head's at right now, too.

I also think the insinuation that others are involved may have been an attempt by the POIs to get LE casting their net far and wide in their search for KM vs. looking closer to home for her.

This could definitely be an attempt at misdirection.

They said they were still investigating but at this time they do not believe so in the presser today.

I don’t know that answer. But if by chance ,like I’ve been saying , these people have active warrants then I would think they could hold them for a while.

I think there would have been evidence of that accident left behind. I am sure LE scoured that parking lot looking for blood or similar telltale signs. But who knows?

When were they arrested?

No arrests have been made. The POIs are only detained. According to this article, they were taken into custody at about 8pm last night.

Dad said no, Mom we haven't heard from.

When were they arrested?

Detained at 8pm last night. So, almost 24 hours ago. Neither has been booked into jail. So, they are just being questioned and will need to be charged or released soon.

I also think that may have been said in order to get LE casting a net much further and wider in their search for KM vs. looking closer to home for her.

Could definitely be an attempt at misdirection.

Like a ditch somewhere close? I really hope this isn't a Tori Stafford type case.

Do we know for sure that they still have the POIs in custody? Could they have already been released?

They could use SAR dogs starting right from where she was last seen, at the B-day party.
See where the dogs indicate.
Just a thought.
