Where is this $11,000 reward info coming from? There is only $6000 which includes the governors reward and the private citizen. The 't district attorney did not announce an additional $5000 from the district attorneys office.

Yeah, I am not getting a warm and fuzzy reunion coming. I want to be wrong and hope that I am wrong. I didn't feel anything encouraging from that PC, other than they are looking and working hard to find her and those involved.

I agree, nothing encouraging at all. And I don't understand his saying they are working hard to find those involved. Don't they have the suspected vehicle and the drivers? Maybe not. They are holding them for something...what? I can only assume they were not the drivers, they are not talking, they've talked and implicated more people or a sinister plot. I guess we'll know when/if they are charged. Really screwed up to me. Makes no sense. Hopefully there's a whole lot more information not released. jmo

Maybe they lawyered up and LE are just waiting to see if anything comes back on the car. Or they are looking for more evidence to try and charge them. In the meantime they are detained and will be charged with unrelated charges at the 48 hour mark. Just so they can hold them on something.

I think the confusion over the reward are within the 't district attorneys comments. He said "in conjunction with" not, in addition to. Heck, the local DA can barely keep pace with their normal expenses, no way they have the money to offer a reward. For those that dont know, Jefferson County went through the largest ever municipal bankruptcy in history of the USA, not that long ago. It has since been exceeded by a municipality in California but there is zero extra money in Jefferson County. They cant even staff parking garages to collect parking fees at the county courthouse so everyone parks for free.

I thought the second 5k was from DA office, contingent on arrest, conviction and finding cupcake

What is alarming to me is that they made no attempt to hide the car. They made no attempt to flee or hide themselves. Could they have been a diversion while the real perps got away?
