(I’m not gonna lie. I’m in full panic mode, palms are sweating, anxious beyond belief. Pit in my gut. I’m cracking open a beer and just waiting. I am dying to see who exactly we are dealing with. I feel full confidence that we are all ready to sleuth the heck out of these individuals. Will we get drugs? DV? Sexual offenses? If we get any of these I’m telling you right now I’m gonna flip. Sorry about the drama, just saying, this might be the case that breaks us, and I mean breaks us. If she is found alive we are going to have a huge celebration of gratitude and I mean huge. Feel free to join me for stiff cocktails as we await an update on these “pending charges”.)

If Police release them without charges, without actually PUBLICLY clearing them- those POI are dead folks walking.

If they know something they’re not sharing, they’re scared too...if they had a lick of sense, they’d beg to stay in police custody

If they've got nothing from the POIs in the past 44 hours, do they really think the next 4 hours are going to make or break this? Why not just charge them already? It seems that they have nothing on these people...and it seems likely they won't find any evidence to charge them within the next four hours. I'm a little worried we're heading to a release or they do get the extension from a judge - and no word either way.

Is there paperwork to get together though? I've never seen an arrest take this long... they don't have to prove their entire case now by any means... they quite literally only need probable cause at this time. I'm wondering if they even have that at this point.

Arrest warrants. Search warrants. Probable cause documents. I bet they’re making sure everything is tidy tidy tidy. Can hold up to the DA, etc.

Could they be looking for another reason to hold them longer? If they still have some suspicions about the two, yet have no evidence to link them to Cupcake, they may want to retain them by finding another charge. Just a thought...JMO

I’m thinking, could be wrong, that they will have enough to charge them with 1st Degree Kidnapping. We will see.

Maybe this:

“According to Alabama law, Code of Ala. § 13A-6-43, a person commits the crime of kidnappingin the first degree if s/he abducts another person with intent to: Hold him/her for ransom or reward; or. Use him/her as a shield or hostage; or. Accomplish or aid the commission of any felony or flight therefrom; or...”

What is alarming to me is that they made no attempt to hide the car. They made no attempt to flee or hide themselves. Could they have been a diversion while the real perps got away?

Or they actually had nothing to do with her disappearance at all. They just happen to drive the same style SUV Blue with Tan Bumper.

Sure...but they don't really need any of that at the moment (besides the arrest warrant). They can/will investigate post-arrest...If it happened exactly as the media portrays it, they had probable cause from the moment they took them into custody...so why wait?

It could also be a tactic to keep their names out of the media for the time being.

This is the only thing that makes sense to me really. Or trying not to scare off the others involved, I guess.

It sounds like to me these individuals have not been cleared of anything and still remain of serious interest to LE, hence the “pending charges”. Moo.
