How did he go from indigent to hiring his own attorney?

Seems that his family has money. Maybe he's assuming or they offered to get him an attorney.

Maybe he's expecting the same individuals who bonded him out to pay for his legal representation? I have no idea. MOO

He seems to have access to unlimited funds, bond, private attorney. His family made a statement renouncing his behavior.

Follow the money.... may be more to this than it appears.

Thinking same thing pommy. And btw - just who the hell posted his bond in the first place?

I read on the last thread that it was 6 family members that put their homes up. Apparently his family owns businesses and do well for themselves. They also released a statement.

It looks like (so far anyway) that he's just a piece of crap that comes from a decent family.

Last I saw, his family made a statement condemning his actions.

ETA:

“We are deeply saddened by the death of little Kamille McKinney. We offer our heartfelt prayers and sympathy to her family, but we know this is not enough. Patrick was reared in a family with strong values. The actions he is alleged to have done in no way reflect who we are as a family.”

—-

““This precious child should have had a chance to enjoy life and pursue her dreams.

The statement adds: “We can’t find enough words to express our grief, and we are distraught by the fact that a member of the Stallworth family is charged with this heinous act. Patrick Stallworth’s fate will be determined by a system of laws — a system that we revere and respect.””

but managed to stay under the radar (regarding arrests) until now - wonder why?

Even if they condemn his actions they may still pay for an attorney to get him away from the death penalty. He may be a child killer but he is still someone else's child. Even mothers love their pedophile children.

Maybe an attorney is willing to take this case “for the publicity”?

I wouldn’t be surprised if he pleads “not guilty” the case gets moved or at the very least his attorney requests it. Due to the huge interest/publicity here it might be difficult to find a jury.

Yeah, you can say that last sentence again. I certainly anticipate for motions filing for a “change of venue”, which is FINE, that way they can’t come back and try to pull any bologna saying the jury was biased.

The city has announced a website for anyone who wants to make donations to help pay the child’s funeral and burial expenses. More than $12,000 has been given and organizers said any leftover money will go to nonprofits that help at-risk people.

"It's open to the public. I already know that our church is nowhere big enough to hold this crowd," said Wilson. The child's mother previously attended the church, he said.

Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama said it was establishing a permanent reward fund in the girl's name to help in future child abductions. The group said it had received more than $35,000 in donations linked to the girl's disappearance.

"We don’t say what the tip was and we don’t talk about what the reward was," he said of the organization's policies. "Possibly divulging that information could put the tipster at risk."

Several of the more than 400 tips received were helpful to investigators and a portion of the reward would be issued to the tipsters, Barefield said. He said the amount given will not be disclosed.

Chief talking about Crimestoppers and stating it was never intended for missing children and due to this case policy is being changed. Head of Crimestoppers is establishing the “Kamille Cupcake McKinney Reward Fund”. Also said they stopped taking donations for Cupcakes reward at 33K and excess money is being used to seed the reward fund.

Chief is noticeably moved and emotional as questioning starts. Stating how much this case has changed the city, brought it together. Head of crimestoppes says they’ve never had a case with more tips and more money. Will not identify the amount of tip being paid nor the tipster. They are accepting new donations for that fund which is said to be close to 35K. Head of Crimestoppers explaining the purpose and anonymity of tipsters. Talking about how easy it is to provide tips and pick up your money, no strings attached no 1099’s,

I hope whoever won that reward money puts it to good use and changes their lives with it, they and their family deserve something great to come from this. MOO

MOO is there were two parties. One was for adults and was located in a building to the east of Cupcakes Aunts home. The presence of a moonwalk/bounce house was never corroborated. MOO is there wasn’t one and if there was, it was not in front of Cupcakes Aunts home. All MOO. Regardless, it was a busy evening at Tom Brown with lots of people milling about. Very easy for these <modsnip> to blend in especially since both were familiar with the area and one, or both, had current connections to the area. Just look at the video grab of <modsnip> PS. He was greeting those in the store like long lost best buds. All MOO
I'm sorry if I missed it but do we know if the shell store footage was before or after the kidnapping? I'm assuming before as I'm sure I recall someone wondering if lots of candy was bought then MOO

I would like to here from the store clerk on duty at that shell station.

How true. Everyone has the ability to make their own life choices. She made hers. I dont even know how she can pretend her priority was her children when the truth is they weren't, and most likely never were.

Now she can add kidnapping, and murder of precious 3 year old Cupcake to her bad choices she willingly has made.

I detest anyone who tries to use their childhood abuses as an excuse for any poor choices they make when adults.

It's such a slap in the face to millions of other victims who would never harm any child or anyone else for that matter.

Most all of the millions who survived every abuse imaginable during childhood become law abiding productive citizens, with many becoming great advocates, and voices for all children.

One's past childhood never defines what anyone will become in the future because all humans are given free will to make their own life choices.

.
So true! She probably only fought for her kids to be returned as they surely brought in more money and gave her a reason to not have to work MOO
