If Paighton was drinking at the bar, then that is already considered a relapse.
MOO, This may have been what the reported disagreement with friend(s) was about; maybe an avalanche of bad choices; sad. It shouldn't end like this but in today's America there is very little margin for error.

Hi.... New to posting but visited websleuths for years.

Does anyone have any information on the friend she went to the bar with? I know he/she is a coworker. This is the last person we know to have seen Peighton. So what if this person fabricated the entire visit to Tin Roof? Peighton's car is left at this coworker's house. LE just released the fact that the footage from the bar wasn't helpful. The only way the bar footage isn't helpful is if Peighton isn't on it. Even if it just shows her leaving it's the last known pictures of Peighton and can tell us a bit about her demeanor and whether she appeared to be under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

A little fishy that peighton's debit card just happens to be found in the middle of the dance floor. People are pretty guarded about phones and money, and yet her card is just randomly on the floor. It could have been planted there too make it appear that Peighton was at the bar that night. What if the fight occurred before they left for the bar and things went south? And why hasn't this friend appeared on media outlets trying to help find Peighton?

MOO- this is all me thinking out loud. But it seems that the best place to start is with the friend who last saw her.

In the Savannah Spurlock case there wasn't a presser until an arrest & a year later we still don't know the names of 2 of the 3 men she left the bar with.
Thank you, I didn't follow that case but I'll read up.

No, no info on friend.

She went out with several co workers and no info on them either.

Interesting ... Do we have confirmation of this? I've only seen one coworker referenced in articles. Oh to be a fly on the wall at LE.

I have read that she went out with her co workers to the bar after work.

Another bit of info.... The bar is really well lit and pics from that night show the band playing and groups photographed in bright lighting. The crowd is older.... Lots of great hair and work parties. Just not what I imagined when thinking of a dimly lit, young bar.

Is there confirmation on where or if her debit card was found?

Multiple news reports state that her debit card was found on the floor of Tin Roof.

MOO This just adds to my suspicion that she may not have even been there that night. Her car is at coworker's house ... What if that argument happened before they even went out? Why haven't we heard from the co workers?

Do you have an msm link for the debit card info and/ or car being left at the friends? I keep seeing these 2 things and an argument behind mentioned but have combed through multiple articles and have not seen this mentioned. Was it on a video? If so, maybe I missed it.

According to her Linkedin account she has been a national account manager for a trucking company for almost 2 years.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/paighton-houston-ba3122189/

I don't think the work location is in Vestavia. Looking it up, it is in the 35222 zip and located less than 3 miles from The Tin Roof. Although I am not PH's age, I do know from personal experience that some people go to live entertainment venues solely for the music/food and do not drink alcoholic beverages. Given the close proximity between the bar and trucking company (Vestavia does not pop up as a location on their website), I wonder where the friend lives (where it has been reported that PH's vehicle was left). Lots of questions... lots of prayers.

The work listed on her LinkedIn account is outdated based on Facebook information. But again, I'd have to dig to find the name and it's still conjecture. *modsnip*

Random musings

1. The person she texted “I feel in trouble” (paraphrased) has been described as a friend and as a coworker. I’d like to know which. Did Paighton text her because she felt close enough to ask for help, or just because she knew the person was out/awake and possibly nearby. Would a close friend allow a recovering addict with no transportation to just leave? How did she expect Paighton to get home safely? Even after a major argument I think a true friend would’ve tried to stop her from leaving. Moo

2. Did she text or call anyone else? She seems almost unusually close to her mother, possibly due to trying to stay accountable. Imo, most 29 year old women don’t text their mom when they get to work, when they take their break and when they leave. With that type of typical communication, did she attempt to reach her mother? Parents often tell their kids (even adult children) if you’re in trouble, call me.

3. When did she come into contact with the two men? Had they been customers of the Tin Roof and been there for awhile too? Were they watching Paightons group of friends? If they were bouncers, I think we’d know, other bar patrons would notice them likely sitting by the door. In fact, do we even know they were inside? Did Paighton leave the bar and then come into contact with them outside?

4. the friend not receiving the text until the following day seems odd. Even if the friend left immediately after Paighton left, 1.5 hours seems kinda fast to go from bar to not checking phone. Maybe she had it on silent, but 12:15 is kinda early on a Friday night to be so deeply asleep (assuming because why else wouldn’t she check her phone) not to hear a text, especially because I’d be waiting to hear from her knowing she left without a ride. Idk...just isn’t sitting right with me and I think we’ve been told a very watered down, half true story with the argument/leaving/text timeline.

So the surveillance footage wasn't helpful, the two men haven't been ID'd, but the friend she was with saw these two men with her.

Has the friend been put in touch with a sketch artist? We've had sketches come out in so many cases; just two for example are Abby and Libby and the Lane Bryant murders. Or did she not get a good enough glimpse of them?

I'm thinking if the men haven't been ID'd, but LE isn't releasing the surveillance footage to see if anyone can ID them, maybe you can't really see them well on the video? I can't imagine why, if you can see them really well, they wouldn't release this?
