I can't help but wonder if his job as a real estate agent might play into this. We've seen several cases where agents have been lured into dangerous situations by the promise of a quick sale from wealthy buyer, etc. I wonder if he would have met with someone at an empty property, even late at night, if their story was compelling enough. I'm of the opinion at this point that Ronnie didn't leave Huntsville, or if he did, it wasn't of his own accord.

Update:
New details are being uncovered into the disappearance of Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas Jr..

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) said Thursday that Dumas was last seen on a surveillance camera leaving a liquor store in Huntsville with two women.

Now, authorities say they have records of his phone moving five days later south of Memphis on December 21.

To Note:
Authorities said Dumas’ car has gone through three separate searches done by a combination of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and HPD investigators.

Investigators said nothing in those examinations led any of the agencies to believe Dumas was forcibly removed from his car, and they have no reason to believe he’s in danger at this time.

HPD has no evidence to suggest that Dumas is in danger or has been abducted at this time. Here’s what investigators know so far:

• On Dec. 15 just before 10:30 p.m., Dumas was seen on security camera footage entering a liquor store on University Drive accompanied by two women. He was later seen leaving the store with them and he did not appear to be under any distress.
• The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been consulted to help confirm cell phone location data. The most recent information indicates Dumas’ phone was tracked heading south from Memphis on Dec. 21.

The Huntsville Police Department has released new information regarding the disappearance of a Huntsville realtor.

Timeline provided by Huntsville Police:

• Dec. 16 - Dumas' vehicle was located near mile marker 133 near Camden, TN. THP impounded the vehicle after receiving reports of the abandoned vehicle.
• Dec. 16 - Just after 7 am, Dumas' phone history shows he was on I-40 just outside of Jackson, TN.
• Dec. 17 - Dumas was reported missing to HPD. LE attempted to call his phone numbers which were not on.
• Dec. 18 - THP learned that the vehicle that was impounded was about a missing person. State troopers were dispatched to mile marker 133 to search on foot.
• Dec. 19 - HPD continued to gather more information about Dumas including sending requests for the location history of his cell phones to his cell service providers.
• Dec. 20 - The lead investigator traveled to Camden, TN to survey the location of mile marker 133 and look at Dumas' vehicle.
• Dec. 20 - THP committed state troopers, a helicopter and two Tennessee Bureau Investigative agents to help search and collect information.
• Dec. 21 - Dumas' phone location was tracked heading south from Memphis, Tenn.

Huntsville Police release new information regarding missing realtor

This case is fairly prominent on local news. It sounds like they haven’t identified the two women on video at the liquor store. I wish they would release the video.

According to the Benton County TN sheriff, the car was partially in the road. I guess that’s why it was quickly towed.

The FBI is assisting. Hopefully they can get some answers for his family.

“The traveling to Tennessee without notifying any family or friends, the abandoning of the vehicle on the side of the road, those things are just extremely abnormal,” Samples told News 19. “He’s not going to abandon his kids. He’s got three kids they love and adore him, he wouldn’t walk away from them.”

LE has no reason to believe he’s in danger at this time. However, Dumas’ family believes otherwise.
Samples told News 19 there were no signs in the days leading up to Dumas’ disappearance that would lead her to believe that he was in the process of abandoning his family.

I find it so very strange le doesn't believe he's in danger, I've followed missing person cases where le seemed far more concerned over less. Maybe I misunderstand, and le is still pursuing this case as any other missing person. I don't really understand what makes them think he isn't in any danger, except he was in the company with two unknown females? I don't really understand why that detail makes him in any less danger than say, a missing female in the company of two unknown males? Anyway, I hope le is looking into his whereabouts and making that paramount.

Same here -- what about those two unknown females???
Did they know him?
IMO, they could certainly be in wait for robbing someone, and it happened to be Dumas.
Or was he someone who fit a pattern for the women to do mischief -- serious mischief.
Hoping I'm wrong and hoping LE is correct, but I'm not convinced -- yet.

In our pursuit of answers, we have obtained the video mentioned by Huntsville Police. Today, we are releasing a still photo from that video showing Ronald on the night he disappeared.
