I was thinking on this, How big, or what is the age of the courthouse there? Here, We have a justice center, with the county jail right next to the courthouse with an underground tunnel to the courtrooms. It's not huge, but it's adequate for it's purpose, tho, we need a new jail now due to overcrowding. Parking is a nightmare, if you need to see the court clerk and such lol.
The courthouse in the neighboring county, the jail is down the street, so they transport and bring through the side door.
You would think, they would have brought her early and had her in a holding room of some kind. Geeze.

Broad St is the main drag downtown but it turns into Forrest Ave about where the Etowah Co Gov Complex is located. The Courthouse is on one side of the street and the jail is on the other. I have no idea if there is a connecting tunnel. The jail is pretty large. I've never had trouble finding parking at the courthouse but there probably wasn't a high profile trial going on at the times I've been there the past few years.

I don't know what to make of the "embracing". I mean, hello courthouse people? How easy would it be to slip someone a knife or something while hugging them? I get that she's tried to make herself look like Mrs. Cleaver with her sweater sets and pearls, but a Mrs. Cleaver she is NOT.

Now I have to be glued to the computer for the afternoon. We could have a recommendation today. I wonder if the judge will take time to think about it or if he will rule as soon as the jury comes back?

(between this and the horrific German co-pilot I'm not getting much done today)



edited to say I just read that the courthouse where the Hernandez trial is happening has been evacuated due to bomb threats. Sigh.
