she probably would have gotten away with it had she not went to police to say she wanted the baby back, as far as her family knew she could have told them the baby had been adopted and no one would have been the wiser...so sad

Prichard police and the FBI called a halt this afternoon to their search of Timberlands Landfill in Escambia County for the body of a month-old Prichard girl.

The FBI said it believed the agency could do nothing more to help find the child. Prichard police Chief Lawrence Battiste said he has asked for the assistance of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Va., which has promised to send a search party.
