Prichard police and the FBI called a halt this afternoon to their search of Timberlands Landfill in Escambia County for the body of a month-old Prichard girl.

The FBI said it believed the agency could do nothing more to help find the child. Prichard police Chief Lawrence Battiste said he has asked for the assistance of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Va., which has promised to send a search party.

IMO, that is a true sign of someone who wants to be caught.

MOBILE, Ala. -- A Prichard woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to murder in the death of her month-old child, who was smothered in a plastic bag and left outside to be taken to the dump.
