YellowDog,
Oh, absolutely -- I'm quite certain that legally, George and Cindy HAD to sign papers stating they would be responsible for their daughter, etc. This is usually the protocol re: a situation such as this one. Trust me, Casey is being watched 24/7.
As much as people want to 'think' they know all about this case -- they don't. People think they know things, I guess, simply because they've read it on some blog somewhere or viewed some soundbite, so the things they've read and viewed MUST be true, right? Well, that would be wrong.
I can guarantee you, after having worked in litigation for over 20 years in the legal field -- MOST of this facts involved in this case have not been made public. We don't KNOW what the police have or don't have, on Casey. Further, it is a little telling they haven't arrested Casey for the murder and/or accidental death of her daughter. Could be they are still awaiting more forensics on this case, OR it could simply be that they HAVE all the forensics they've been able to compile, and they don't HAVE enough to prove a case in a court of law.
Until then, this case needs to ride itself out...w/o all the fanfare, which isn't helping anyone, much less poor Caylee, bless her heart.
