All Things Britney Spears Part 1

Sarah Silverman needed to leave brit's kid's out of her skit. It was rude and very tacky. IMO

I agree I am no fan of Brittany but Sara Silverman should have left the babies out of it. Kids should be off limits.

I feel the same way, If I was brit I would have ran on that stage and kicked her butt!

IMO...If Britney was so worried about what could/would be said about her or her children she wouldn't act the way she does. She has brought most of this upon herself.

Exactly! She look aweful last night. She staggered around, couldn't get her feet or hips to work to the beat of the music, and while she is not fat, she looked hideous with her tummy hanging over her PANTIES. She wasn't in good enough shape to be sporting underwear on national TV. Any bad press she get's is as a result of her continuuing bizarre snd trashy behavior. SS lost points for calling Brits' kids mistakes..that was truely tasteless.

She does look a bit fat or bloated compared to her younger years, but I still think she looks pretty hot.

Yeah, she's not really fat, but she is bloated which is a sign of poor health, it's more than that once a month PMS thing, especially at her still rather young chronological age.

I still am confused about her excuse at being upset over the comments of Sarah Silverman. SS didn't do her monologue/make those comments until AFTER Brit's OPENING of the show.

Britney was told what SS was going to say before Britney herself took the stage... (supposedly..it could also just be Britneys camp making up an excuse for her poor performance last night)

MTV is saying that no one knew what Silverman was going to say so that excuse is bogus.

I think she stayed out too much the days before, was terribly rusty and nervous. She may have taken something, I don't know. Maybe she had some drinks.

Maybe she needed to practice walking in those boots.

LMAO Michelle... I was thinking the same thing. Like any minute now I just KNOW Britney is going to come crashing through that stage and knock the tar out of her.

I figured that!! Brits peeps needed to find an excuse and find one fast and since SS has such a big huge dirty mouth she was an easy person to put the blame on for Brits performance.

--That's putting it mildly--tried watching her show one time--never again

She's not my cup of tea either. I always feel uncomfortable for her - she's not funny and she tries way too hard to be over-the-top or cutting edge, but she just comes across as crass and tacky. I don't mind raunchy if it's funny, but she's just not. Her stuff just comes out as mean.

I've seen enough of her to know that NO subject is off limits to her.

I watched it last night. Very sad performance. I too thought she must be drugged, drunk, or suffering from a very bad case of anxiety or something like that.

While Brit surely blew this one, I think if she gets some rest, gets herself together, and practices, practices, practices, she can still have a career in the future. It just may not be the same as her career was before.

On the whole idea of the "star" not really doing much and a whole lot of other dancers dance around them on stage: Cher does this, and she does it very, very effectively. (Of course, she is 60!) I went to see her on her "farewell tour" and she kind of just stood there and swayed to the music and her dancers did the dancing. She wore heavily fringed costumes that moved a lot, and the entire efffect was areally good. Plus, she walk/strutted across the front of the stage a lot. There was a whole lot of action going on all around her at all times, with dancers and acrobats. All in all, the effect was great.

So maybe Brit could find out who produced that tour for Cher and get them to help her. And they could also help Brit with costuming. While I did not think she looked fat-fat, she could have been professionally costumed in a manner that would have made her look GREAT.

At this point, I do feel sorry for the girl. I wish her well.

scm, I believe you have described silverman perfectly

Agreed. I wish I had a dollar or more for everytime my 14 year old has gone off on a rant about S. S. She has more sympathy for Brittney the trainwreck than Sarah the money-maker off the trainwreck.

In some instances, maybe. But when you're dealing with someone as crass and lowbrow as Silverman, best to take the high road and not sink to the bottom of the muck.

In the Britney v. SS round, Britney was the clear winner.

I agree with you in that she "blew this one". So very sad indeed because this was her BIG chance at a comeback. Everyone one in that room was anxious to see her and support her. She couldn't have hoped for a better venue.

As far as her outfit, I believe that Brittney herself decided what she was wearing. Funny you should mention Cher because didn't Brittney used to have Cher's designer Bill Blass design her costumes? Looks like she's ditched him. I read awhile back that she walked out on a photo shoot because she didn't like what she had to wear.

I see your point about Cher and her dancers but Brittney is what? 1/4 of Cher's age? Unlike Cher & Reba (hehe) Brittney is a fabulous dancer to begin with. She has the potential to return to what she did before imo.

I feel so sorry for her now. Apparently she was crying after her performance. Imagine what she's doing today with all the critics. I think she'll be lucky to hang onto a decent agent.

Maybe this will prompt her to seriously get some professional help which she desperately needs otherwise (sadly) I feel the worst is yet to come.
