All Things Britney Spears Part 3

She definately has potty mouth that's for sure! I saw her on a clip on TMZ a while back and every other word was '🤬🤬🤬CK this or 🤬🤬🤬CK that..I was like whoa?! Even though she is like 10 years younger then big sis Brit. I still always thought Jamie was the more mature one even with the age diffrence. Sad to say but I bet she will be a better mother then her sister.

I've always thought she was a rotten little brat. Sorry to say that, but that's always been the impression I get of her.

That said, hopefully she has taken stock of her sister's life and will do things differently. I do hope that Jamie Lynn will defy any odds that are against her.

I hope she doesn't get her show back. A 16-year-old who gets pregnant shouldn't be rewarded in any way.

I read somewhere this morning that Jamie Lynn may be an emancipated minor. I don't know if that would affect the state's ability to bring charges.

No - it wouldn't make a difference on stat. rape charges. Being emancipated from your parents would not have bearing on whether or not you can legally consent to sex. It may affect Lynn Spears culpability with regard to failure to protect - all depends on state law.

However, I don't think we'll see charges. The DA would not want to answer why s/he's prosecuting this case and not others where girls far younger and not famous are impregnated by much older men. A good defense atty for the boyfriend would crush the DA on differential treatment.

According to http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22318270/ Jamie Lynn is wrapping up her 3rd season of her Nickolodean show and has the 4th already filmed. What do you want to bet it won't be back for a 5th.

Is she the Zoey of Zoey 101? I suppose a preggers main character away at boarding school isn't really a good premise for a kids' show! I read that Jamie Lynn will want to go back to Louisiana to raise her child. I wonder what her future holds for her? I can't imagine that a few years' success in a cable kids' show is going to have her set for life financially.

It's so interesting how society has changed. My stepmother's mother was married at 15 and a first-time mom at 16 - and she went on to raise 3 great people.

So, you should be punished for getting pregnant at 16? I don't quite understand what you're saying.

Neither do I. I'd think this thread would be rich with the anti-choice crowd praising her good judgment in keeping the child as well as prayers that she be rewarded with the love and support it takes to raise a child. :waitasec:

Britney's 16 year old sister, Jamie Lynn is pregnant, confirmed too by Nickelodeon. Yikes. QUOTE]

Ok, the fact that the pregnancy was confirmed by Nickelodeon just makes it all the more sad.

Is Britney pregnant again too....or was that just rumor? :waitasec:

Putting up your baby for adoption is also an option, but it seems like our society pushes teens into two choices: abortion or keeping the baby.

I hope this young girl is a better mother than her grown sister seems to be.

If Jamie's an emanciapted minor, her living with her boyfriend makes more sense to me. That is the part I couldn't wrap my mind around.

The pregnancy part doesn't shock me too much; happens all the time with teenagers, unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure that's just a rumor. Though I have to agree with a comment I read on some site today that basically said - what in the world will Britney do now - I'm sure she's not liking the fact that Jamie Lynn is getting all the attention!

I agree. And I think it is so cruel and unnecessary to refer to her unborn child as the biggest mistake of her life. I think there are plenty of teenage moms who feel blessed by their children and are capable of being a responsible parent.

I am not, nor will I ever be, a fan of Lynne Spears though. Isn't she Jamie Lynn's manager? If so, she most likely made the call to OK magazine for a payout before notifying Nickelodeon. She had to have known that Nickelodeon would try to keep it hush hush for as long as possible. IMO, Lynne is making a last ditch effort to make money off one of her kids now that Britney has shut her out.

I don't know about how she is now, but Jamie Lynn was a pretty sweet girl a 3 or 4 years ago. Watching a sister that you once idolized self-destruct right in front of you has got to be pretty rough. Given all she has witnessed Britney go through, I can't imagine that Jamie Lynn made this decision lightly.

It is possible to be glad that she chose not to kill the baby to save face for her own appalling judgement without condoning the behavior that created the child.

Hate the sin, love the sinner.

While the baby is completely innocent and deserves no harm or punishment, I don't think it's inconsistent or even ironic to question whether a child should be exposed to any of the people in this so-called family.

Angelmom, I adore you with the white hot passion of a thousand burning suns, and I definitely get what you are saying. But I hate that maxim I highlighted almost as much as I love you! :blowkiss:

Wow. That's the sweetest argument I've ever heard. I'm not sure why you don't like it. I think it sums up why you can disapprove of someone's actions without feeling that they are a bad person or stop caring for them.

I find it describes my children quite often. :innocent:

BTW, love you too sweetie! Even when you disagree with me. :blowkiss:

(Rodney King would be so proud!)

Maybe it depends on who's saying it and how they say it? I grew up hearing it used and came to dislike it also. I had an acquaintance in college that used it all the time about gays. And my roommate would say it; she got it from her church. Both would say it as a preface to then say something nasty.

I realize that's not what you're doing, angelmom, or you wouldn't have mentioned your own children!
