Wow! I bet you'd never say this about a mother who stayed at home with her kids.

I would if she couldn't support herself! And I certainly would if the woman had TWO OTHER KIDS living with their father to support. KFed isn't "staying home with the kids" while his wife works, he is staying home because his WORKING EX WIFE is paying him 30K a month in child support. And he has TWO OTHER KIDS to support - how is he doing THAT without employment.

Guess what, real world here, sometimes you have to work even when you WANT to be home with your kids - because that's how you PAY THE BILLS AND ACT LIKE A RESPONSIBLE ADULT! I bet there are a few million parents (single and married) who would LOVE to have the luxury of being home with their children...wouldn't EVERY parent? But THEY CAN'T because they have responsibilities and perhaps they are divorced and their ex doesn't pay ANY support at all. Yeah, those folks would LOVE to be at home with enough income to live on...and wouldn't the children be blessed? BUT, unlike KFed those parents do NOT have an ex-wife with a $700K month income that she earned by working harder and more hours than most adults before she was old enough to VOTE...oh and supports her entire family - parents too.

Sorry, but KFed may be a fine Dad who loves his kids and even takes great care of them (with the help of nannies, bodyguards and household staff) - but that does NOT absolve him of living life as a responsible adult and at least volunteering, working at something productive or generating some income of his own. And I still take issue with his using his child support for Sean and Jaden to pay Shar child support. And perhaps Britney doesn't care - and wants his other kids to be taken care of...but I object - it's the principle.

KFed has a LOT of growing up to do and I wish him well. I also hope he gets his life together and moves away from his dependence on Britney. It's not healthy and it isn't healthy for ANY of his kids. KFed has proved that physically he is a "man" - now he needs to actually BE a man. Children don't care what you SAY - they care what you DO. Words are cheap, actions are the foundation your children build on.

Britney MAY be a wreck and falling apart and indeed may lack good parenting skills and common sense - but funny how KFed can overlook all that when he takes HER MONEY with no problem. He slams her in court and at every turn and then puts out his hand for her check without hesitation.

Does anyone know how much Federline is supposed to pay in child support to Shar? Also, is Shar wealthy from her singing/acting? I think both those girls were so foolish to even think of taking up with a guy who had no money or actual career going. But a mother to two kids whose father was the primary breadwinner (and a multimillionaire breadwinner, ay that) wouldn't have to get a job and support herself - she could stay home and focus on the kids - couples make this choice all the time. I agree SCM. I have no particular thoughts on KFed's parenting skills, but if he can stay home with the kids and not work, more power to him. The kids will benefit here.If he were female this would be a no brainer.

Jackson, who starred in TV’s “Moesha” in the late ‘90s, says Federline does not pay child support to her. But, she adds, “He does pay for their school, and they go to a very expensive private school.”

I'd be willing to bet money that the same people who opine that he's only doing this for the money and dosn't really care about the kids, would be shouting "Why isn't Federline doing something - he obviously doesn't care about the kids!" if he wasn't making an effort to get custody away from Britney (who is clearly struggling with motherhood).

The minute he made the decision to get involved with someone of her "status", he was a marked man for a certain percentage of the population to say "He's only in it for her power, prestige, wealth, etc...).

Oops - I hade forgotten that Brit and I share a birthday. My celebration was more plebian that hers, though - a Japanese steakhouse with DH and two children followed by ice cream cake at home! :woohoo:

I git your point and agree completely. Cripes, with all the money involved with this group, someone should not be working and stay home with the kids. At this point ,it seems as though KFed is a better choice for that.
But calling KFed a gold digger certainly is not new to those that marry people of celebrity status. But what I do find interesting is that, IMO it seems as though if KFed were female, there wouldn;t be such a an outcry for him to get some work. I think most would be satisfied that a woman opted to stay home with the kids instead of sefishly pursuing their own career.

My Opinion

This post could be interpreted to be very sexist. I hope we are beyond the point in our culture that a man has to prove he is a man bythe type of work he does. I know some stay at home dads and they are every bit as much of a man as the next guy. In some cases more so.
He does have the option of being home with the kids instead of working. He does have that luxury. Doesn't make him less of a man?! Why in the world would he not take advantage of a situation that is in the kids best interest? If he doesn't have to work to support his kids and can stay at home with them, why would he choose anything else?

Well I have nothing against a stay at home dad but Britneys money is probably paying for his other kids which I think is wrong. He is a male version of a gold digger imo.

Boy. I guess you guys have different standards than those I have.

It isn't sexist - I SAID MAN OR WOMAN should do SOMETHING productive with a $30K a MONTH income - it happens KFed is a man. A man with 2 OTHER kids! Two OTHER kids he has a responsibility toward.

KFed is NOT at home alone handling 2 kids - he has nannies, bodyguards and household help. I do not feel "pity" for him and I do NOT find him a man I would want my SON OR DAUGHTER to emulate. And HE did NOT EARN or inherit the money he is now living off of...he married it. And he was unfaithful to Shar while she was pregnant with his child. I am sure SHE feels secretly lucky he is GONE...child support or none. I doubt Britney would ask him for child support either. Must be nice to have the benefits of fatherhood and all the good stuff without ever having to DO anything for his children but "be around" and be Fun Daddy.

Moms and Dads have a responsibility to their kids. And if the parents are NO LONGER MARRIED to each other - especially after less than 5 years of marriage - then no, I do not think they should allow the OTHER PARENT to support them in luxury (with staff) until the children are 18 without contributing ANYTHING to society. KFed makes more in child support in ONE MONTH than many WORKING SINGLE MOTHERS make in a YEAR!

KFed won the "wife lottery" TWICE. Wow, what good luck he must have! I predict that within 5 years he will "get lucky" and marry again and/or have MORE children - and that in the meantime he will do little to benefit anyone but himself.

I do not hate KFed, I don't care enough about him to waste ANY emotion on him OR Britney. Go right ahead with the love-fest for poor devoted baby-daddy KFed struggling to raise his kids and being heroic because he is doing the RIGHT THING in taking his children when their mother is failing to provide a proper upbringing. Something HE SHOULD do - with or without $30K a month as incentive. Something OTHER parents do (Moms and Dads) WITHOUT a penny of extra income - and while paying their OWN legal bills - and while WORKING full time and driving a 10 year-old car and going WITHOUT any luxuries for themselves.

I know lots of heroic parents but KFed is NOT one of them. And yes, KFed IS a MAN - but his sex has no bearing on doing the RIGHT THING or on BEING PRODUCTIVE in some way WHILE raising children. MOST stay at home Moms with his sort of income can show him how he can do BOTH .

Howdy Flowerchild. You have way more inside information regarding what Kfed does with the kids at home. So I will have to defer to your expertise regarding this celeb marriage.

I had lots of nanny help when my kids were smaller - still, I stayed home with them and my husband was the primary breadwinner (while I had a small at-home business).

I am grateful to this day that we had the means for me to have so much help. I found parenting mupltiple young children to be quite a challenge! I think anyone who could afford to have help with it, would avail themselves of that resource!
