All Things Britney Spears Part 3

Maybe my perspective is skewed because I think stay at home parents should get gobs of money to concentrate on the most important job! LOL!
My only point is that if he has the financial wherewithal to concentrate on raising those kids and not working right now, I'm okay with that - plenty of people make that happen in their life and more power to them if they can.

In any event - and this is just perception - I don't perceive that he lives high on the hog.

As far as the entitlement thing - where is it written that a mother is not entitled to stay home and live in a mansion courtesy of her ex-husband? It must be written somewhere because plenty of woman do this.
He lists his rent as $7,500 per month, while he estimates that he spends $750 per month on groceries and household supplies, $2,000 on clothes, and $5,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations, amongst other expenses. His monthly expenses total $32,300. Sounds pretty "high on the hog" to me.

In this particular instance, I do not think his intentions are to take care of the kids. He has nannies doing that while he is out and about. He has other children he should also be taking care of.
For me, it's this instance that is unfair. He needs to do the right thing for his kids. He has always been a sponge in my opinion.

If he was a woman...many here would be screaming gold digger....just like Heather Mills. Many don't want her to end up with a dime. Why is it any different with K-fool? I am not talking about child support. I am talking about the amount he spends otherwise. Look at the stats on the money he spent. It is in flowerchild's post. He is a male gold digger..just as Mills is. It was reported he was smoking pot the whole time he was working on that reality show. I really hope SOMEBODY gets a grip and does the right thing by those kids. I just don't want to be reading about them ending up in trouble or dead 15 years from now. They are the cutest little kiddos. :)

Maybe - but I also think people would be screaming "terrible father" if he weren't doing something to try to get those kids to a safer environment than they are in with their mother. He can't really win - he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Some folks are always going to believe he went after Britney for her wealth and status, but I think relationships are more complicated than that.

I can never get much worked up over pot. I'd be more concerned if he was drinking like a fish the whole time he was filming that reality show.

I guess I just can't get my point across. Kevin doesn't need all the trappings that he had while he lived with Britney. If he can't make it on the income he gets from her, then he needs to do some pruning. He doesn't need a household staff if he isn't going to work. He can be like plenty of women and do it all without such luxury.

I've heard of women who get to keep the house and stay home, but they don't get extras to blow on non-essentials. They have to budget.

Fair enough - I think if you've always thought that of him then all of this would of course look like a ploy to get more money.

I always thought he was way more stable than Brit!! And I still do!

I feel like Kevin has a job/career in the music/entertainment industry - an industry he's worked in for a number of years. Right now, I think he's taking time off to be with his young kids because he can and I think that's laudable. I think he will get back to his industry in due course.

I hear you about Britney blowing through her millions!
Ok....as I have stated in my earlier posts...I had never heard of him before all this junk broke about him leaving a pregnant gf to be with Britt. What has he done beside be a back up dancer for Britt and make a rap cd that was pretty much a joke? I know I am old...so I may be missing something. Was he anybody before he married Britt?

Everybody is more stable than Brit LOL.

No - I do hear your point. My point is he is not receiving an amount of child support equal to what any working stiff custodial parent would receive per the California Child Support guidlelines. Why should he "trim" when he is getting paid 1/6th of what he should be getting paid? He's got those kids 6 days a week.

The mother of those kids has always been the primary breadwinner. Why isn't the primary breadwinner paying what California laws suggest? I think he's got a good case to get his child support raised.

As far as I know, Britney was his first marriage, though he had two children with Shar Jackson. Being a backup dancer and producing a music CD means you are in the entertainment industry. I think he was just another working class stuff until he fell for Britney.

I do see your point too. :) I just have a feeling that no matter what he received, it wouldn't be enough. If he blows through $9000 a month on clothing and entertainment, then he'd blow through more if he got it on such foolishness.

ETA: I have a hunch, and maybe I'm wrong, that some of that entertainment expense is to pay for his homies to tag along.

I hope somebody somewhere is going to be saving something for those kids. Money can dry up you know. Look at what happened with Elvis and Michael Jackson. Both went through Millionsssssssss. :(

Can you imagine spending that kind of money!?!? The fool I am getting divorced from had millions also...but we didn't live like that. We put stuff in investments. Some people don't ever save for a rainy day. I don't know why.:loser:

No, I cannot. I'm just happy to put on a shirt that's clean!! And entertainment here is pretty cheap as well.;) Even if I had millions, I wouldn't spend it like that

It's a different life out there - I don't pretend to understand it, and I surely don't envy it.

I agree with you - I hope he is saving for a rainy day!

I don't understand it either. I can't stand to waste money. Now I am wishing I had blown a little! ;) LOL Too much money for a person that likes to party can be a dangerous thing. I am wondering if that is why everyone in Hollywood seems so strange to the rest of us? They seem to live in a fantasy land and they don't understand reality, or so it seems.

From what I've always read/heard, their reality is nowhere near the rest of the world's. I guess it is kind of moot for us to be discussing what's pratical or not. And I think the money is only half of it, the fame makes it worse IMO.

From the time he and Britney split until 2 weeks ago KFed was getting a TOTAL of $50K A MONTH from Britney. $20K Alimony and $30K child support. And as his own lawyers testified to HE IS BROKE! Needs Brit to pay his lawyers. He got $56K from his being on her show and his CD and $50K a month from Brit, paid his ex's rent and still managed to spend every penny he got and is now penniless - well except for the $30K a month child support. He saved NOTHING - spent it ALL - I guess to the tune of around $32,000 a month or so (in addition to his child support). He must assume that if he is BROKE Brit will be forced to step up so her kids are taken care of???

Like I said, he is spending a LOT on stuff NOT associated with his children....like taking a bunch of people including his whole family and ex Shar and her 4 kids to Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday. He couldn't celebrate in LA??? And he does have a new GF - wonder if he is supporting her also?

My Opinion

And from what I read, they spend most of their time on the sets when working on a series or movie. That really distorts reality also. All they have to do is snap their fingers...and the assistant comes running with what they want or need. I guess over time, that would distort anyone's reality. I know that it isn't nearly as fun as what we out here in the real world might think, because if it was...why would so many of them destroy their lives the way they do? I don't know. I think I must just be missing a huge part of the picture because I don't really understand it.
