Per US magazine, Britney is under a "special needs watch" which is a suicide and overdose watch. No info on Jayden. He was not physically injured though.

jayden was not physically injured.

There are certainly no boundaries to bad taste in this day and age. It's just a feeding frenzy to those people. I will admit that for whatever nutty reason I can justify in my mind I am interested in reading about this stuff. I don't have any interest in seeing her being taken away from her own home in an ambulance. Paps could report it without the pics.

I'm sad to say, I'm happy this happened to Britney. Hopefully this is the breaking point that will lead her to get the help she so desperately needs. Something needed to happen and it's apparent she wasn't going to help herself. Maybe this is her "rock bottom".

While we all say we are sick of hearing about her....out of curiosity, I checked to see which thread the posters in Up to the Minute we on......all 21 of us were on this thread....and who knows where the guests were but I'd guess on this thread as well. So are we really sick of her? I think the public is to blame too. We feed right into it, which drives the paps. It's a vicious cirlce.

On the Today show, they just said she was out of it last night...but not on substances (huh?). Said she hasn't eaten or slept in days and was laughing hysterically all the way to the hospital. Bi-polar disorder is being thrown out there as the cause....and the fact that she is completely isolated from anyone who truly loved her (which she has done to herself). She must feel so very alone.
Also said as of 8:30 pt this morning she has lost or will lose all visitation rights....

Folks, I think she is truly losing it this time. There is nothing funny about this. It's just sad.

He was probably scared to death and worried about his mommy. Poor little guy.

I just talked with a family member that works with addicts. They said that this sounds like a meth or cocaine induced psychosis. She's probably been on a "runner" (drug binge).

I was just going to post the same thing. Hopefully, now, she will be forced to get the help she so desperately needs.

To clarify something someone posted earlier - her visits were monitored. The court appointed monitor had taken Sean out to the car and when she came back in, Britney had locked herself and Jayden in a room and wouldn't let anyone in.

I don't think she was "on something." Surely the court appointed monitor would have notified someone if Britney had taken or was taking something. I think she has some sort of mental illness and it's getting worse. I do think she's a danger to herself and others.

Can you imagine what it's like to be her? She has no life. Her kids are mostly gone from her. She hasn't been working really. Every day she gets up and has virtually nothing to do. Anyone who crosses her gets booted out of her life. Who knows how long it's been since she's had a coherent thought or a string of days with coherent thoughts.

She whined her way through rehab before where they did say her issues were psychiatric...I would assume that they tried to put her on meds or did put her on meds at that time. If you can't get her on board to take them she's going to have it really rough. With the money she has she won't really hit rock bottom. She has plenty of food and a roof over her head. Her money will eventually run out but she has no need really to get herself together and actually have to support herself.

I don't see how to help her unless they can hold her as long as it takes so that she's really stable on meds. If left to herself she won't take care of herself.

I have said this many times. What I have never said is that I am sick of watching it. I love watching human behavior unfold and won't apologize for that. I will readily admit, however, to being part of the problem!

You've got that right, Idaho. I will also add that it is classic mental illness behavior - the two often mimic each other - or worse, go hand in hand as the addict tries to self medicate the underlying mental disorder.

I did see that. I do know some "one white chip wonders" (thus far (20+ years), DH is actually one), but they are as rare as rare can can be!

All my prayers for Lindsay and Britney and others who struggle with addiction.

My :twocents: . . . . I think she had a major mental breakdown after the deposition yesterday. She's so used to getting her own way that I think when she realized she wouldn't be able to this time . . . maybe it just finally sunk in that she's going to lose her kids. Even being a trainwreck, I'd be a basket case too. She fell of the edge of sanity.

Monitor put Preston in car, went back to get the other child. He was locked in bathroom with Britney.

Reporters saying she was laughing hysterically all the way to the hospital.

Discussing that bi-polar is probably the issue. This was probably a very acute manic episode.
