Jamie and Lynne Spears are going to the County courthouse in downtown L.A. Sources say both parents are extremely concerned about the welfare of their daughter and upset because Sam Lutfi is trying to call the shots on all matters Britney.

The court has the power to create a conservatorship, which would allow both Jamie and Lynne to make medical decisions on behalf of Britney. The conservatorship would also allow them to control Britney's financial affairs. Both parents have made it clear: they believe Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib are squandering Brit's assets.

We're in court, so stay tuned. The hearing is scheduled to begin around 11:15 AM.

It is a vicious circle - she worked so hard as a youngster, and was talented. Was it the fame? adoration? lack of adoration? Too much success too soon? We (generally speaking) make these people idols, the major networks for months giving daily Brit updates, the comics making horrible jokes about her...This is so serious.

This mental health business is a mess. A young friend of mine got caught up in bad doctoring and was given so many doses of so many different drugs, not waiting until the last one was out of her system. Finally, when her insurance was running out a nurse (bless her soul) gave her a paper with two doctor's names and begged her to see one of them immediately. She did and was put in the hospital on mo meds for a week. I was on her phone list and she would call and cry endlessly, for hours. They put her on the lowest dose of a medication that fortunately worked for her.

Running in the circle of friends that some of these young people do, the money they have at their disposal to obtain who knows what - it scares the hell out of me. I so hope she ends up being treated by someone with her best interests. She is a person, a mother, a daughter, a sister - many things - before she is a star. She has enough money already if they can save her.

You see the thing with people with Bi-Polar is that they fall into 2 groups. Group 1 are those that actually hate the way they live and want help and want to change. Then you have group 2 which is those that like having Bi-Polar the way it makes then feel and have no intentions of accepting help in any way shape or form. Quite often they will claim one thing but do another, try and twist things around to make it sound like they are the sane ones and their carers are the nutcases, and drag down and on those that are suppose to be caring for them. The sad fact is theres nothing you can do about it until they want help and take their medication.

Secondly it does depend on what sort of medical care you recive. It's no good if the doctor is buying into their and treating them accordingly instead off looking outside the square. Many don't even think to ask the carer what's really going on or the real story thus the cycle continues.

Nothing happened to her except she decided she liked the way she was and did not want to change and threw her meds in the bin. Secondly...... without putting a fether in my cap, you have no idea how manipulative someone with a mental illness can be. The emotional and mental abuse that put on the loved ones and carersb is incredible. I'm tending to think it could be a 2 way street.

Her family must have come up with some pretty damning evidence to warrant having a restraining order immediately executed against the man. Good for them...

About not trusting her parents... while how they raised Britney is questionable, one thing is for sure: the girl walked into adulthood a very wealthy woman... that is a product of her parents, at the very least, doing something right in managing her career. So many child stars end up broke because the parents ran through the money, without a thought to the child's future. Not in this case... and the Spears easily could have... so I highly doubt money is their motivation... they are trying to do what they can to protect her.

I'm soooo glad to hear her parents have finally stepped in to help their daughter. I pray for Britney that she can get some help and get her life back on track and be a good mother to her little boys. I'm so proud of James and Lynne Spears for stepping up and being parents.
