I think for now her Mom and Dad do have Brit's best interest at heart. Could we say that of some third party? It seems to me that the majority of the third parties in her life, at present, do not have her best interest at heart.

I think since her father has control now he should keep it and possibly make a list of all the people not allowed to see Brit while she is undergoing treatment. That would include her lawyers, managers, boyfriend, etc. She needs to get well now and these people have never tried to help her..infact I wouldn't be surprised if down the road we find they have taken more then their share. She needs mature reliable business partners and managers. Certainly there are many big names in Hollywood in that area that would take Brit , if they knew she was trying her best to get help and maintain her doctor appts, etc. Many manic depressives take alcohol and drugs to self medicate, because other treatments don't work..not that that works either..infact it just makes the symptoms worse. That's why it is imperative she stay in treatment in the hospital until they have her on the right medications and she shows improvement.

I say it's time for Brit's family to clean house for her, since she is not able to make those kinds of decisions for herself at present. I think they need to do this immediately, so she can continue her treatment to get well and whole again without the influence of these business partners that do not have her best interest at heart...and that may take quite sometime before she is really able to make those decisions herself. JMHO

I hope these people (her parents included) know exactly what they are doing.. I have a feeling when she gets out of the hospital she is going to be making heads spin! She don't have or really seem to even want a relationship with her parents so by them being in charge of her life I think is just going to throw her deeper into the funk she is in already. I hope she don't do anything desperate because she is probably going to feel that she is being pushed into a corner here... Britney don't like to be told what to do & esp. not by people who she can't stand to begin with. I wish her all the best but I really think in about 2 weeks if and when she gets out we will see exactly how Britney feels about all this.

I do too. Someone that has not ever had a vested interest in her wealth. She hates her father and he hasn't even been a big part of her life in years. I am not saying that he doesn't love her or want what is best for her. I just think he has HUGE problems of his own! They need all independent people to do this job.

She supported both her parents for years and currently still pays for the mansion that her mother lives in. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with that. I am just saying that her parents are not an unbiased conservatory. Besides, as Sadie pointed out, she hates them at the moment and that is just another trigger. Of course, we all know that it doesn't take much if anything at all at this time in Britt's life to make her have an attack. Bless her heart.

I am sure you are correct about that Jules. However, at the moment, she hates them so I believe them being in charge of anything is going to make her feel worse. When she becomes stable I think she will see things differently. In the mean while, the most important thing is to try and keep her safe.

She may say she hates them, but she's been asking for them too. I think as she begins to get regulated on her meds, she's going to realize just how much she needs them.

I mean they are no better then some Dirt road crack head who sold their daughter for a hit.. IMO.
These are the last people who should have ANYTHING to do with her money.

I think what really pushed Britney over the edge was her pregnancies. The hormonal inbalances, etc. That and the fact her marriage was falling apart - Kevin was out partying all the time and she was home. She missed the spot light being on her. She'd had that for years...

I don't think her parents can be blamed for pushing her over the edge. And, in this instance, I believe they can be trusted over anyone else close to her. I think her 'manager' Sam is a snake as is the boyfriend. I think both are in it for themselves.

Oh no kidding! Both boyfriend and manager need to hit the road. I also hope anything they took from her has to be returned as she was not competent to be gifting anything. I do hate that she thinks she loves this guy and will suffer another blow by losing him. The reports have been that she has been crying for him.

She has been at odds most of the time with her father for years. It has been an on and off thing with her mom... But mostly on for a good part of the time. She fired her mom as her manager a few years ago. I think that was a "spreading wings" sort of thing. Jmo

She needs to find a life, her life. First order to address in her incessant need to be in the limelight or the center of attention. If she can deal with that issue she might be able to start living like the "rest" of us.

You are so right. It is sad indeed. No matter where she goes though, there will always be users. I guess the key would be to teach her how to pick out the users and to rid herself of them. That is a hard skill for most people.... Even ones that aren't famous.
