All Things Britney Spears - Thread No. 8

He should move to another town if he's not willing to deal with what goes on in his own. I know hoopla surrounding her costs the taxpayers, but she is one of them and deserves to be protected from these professional stalkers :furious:

I agree with Brefie. If he doesn't want to do his job, maybe he should retire and let someone else. Tool.

We broke the story that lawyers for both sides have agreed to visitation in a therapeutic setting. Now we've learned the specifics. The kids can visit with momma, provided Jamie Spears and her psychiatrist are present. There are other strings, but at a minimum Jamie and the shrink are required.

We're told both sides are impressed that Jamie has stabilized Britney and the whirlwind surrounding her crazy life, and that's a core reason why a deal was struck.

Sources say Britney will begin seeing her kids again imminently.

YAY!! This chick really has me reeled in at the moment....I am so in her corner...Good for her and good for her parents....I hope she never forgets how much they came through for her, even though she fought them all the way.

I think this is wonderful and I totally applaud Jamie Spears!! :woohoo:
Those little boys need to see Mommy and she needs to see them...this will go a long way for everyone. Sounds like Dad has taken the trash out of Brit's life and I pray he will remain involved and keep Britney straight for as long as it takes, until she is able to take care of herself again.

Jamie Spears is being a stable and loving and strong parent and that is something Britney has been starved for, for a long, long time, since childhood.
I think her Mom has held the reins for far too long.

I don't know that mom is guilty of anything worse than being a stage mom. I am concerned that she would be okay with selling the story of JL's pregnancy, but there are all kinds of 'handlers' in place for these girls and I am not sure it wasn't STRONGLY recommended for PR and painted to be the best thing to do, considering the hoopla about her age.

I don't think mom decided to just make a buck - I don't know if she would hate that either, but I can totally see all kinds of executive meetings on how to deal with Nickelodeon's star being pregnant at 16.

I guess Brit finally got 3 hours with her boys today. I am glad. Jamie really seems to have gotten a handle on everything pretty quickly. Keep listening to him, Britney.

So glad for Brit...as much as these 3 hrs meant for Brit surely it meant alot more for those precious boys!

Brefie, thanks for the links. The below quote from the NY Times is what I'm afraid of and I hope LE goes after them.

The nature of her investments might be unclear as well. Accountants are trying to learn whether her money was moved into overly risky investment vehicles, whether any business deals need to be undone and whether her assets were outright looted. (Her father filed a report of grand theft, according to The Los Angeles Times, asserting that paintings, jewelry and other valuables had been stripped from her Beverly Hills home).

I was just thinking how calm things have seemed since her dad (and mom?) are in charge.

I hope she's not pregnant, and I definitely hope it's not by Lutfi or Adnan. :( Mostly because I would think they just want money from her if they can get it somehow through a baby. :(

Good, Brefie. I think he did have a lot to do with that circus when he was with her.

Is it possible that it was just wrong and/or too many drugs that was causing all of that turmoil that we were watching? Or does she still have an underlying dx of bipolar or some other issue?

I don't know. I always had a sneaking suspicion that it wasn't 'street' narcotics making her behave that way. I never believed that she sat at home doing piles of cocaine or anything else. I just never believed the drugs she was taking were for 'the high'. I can totally believe she was self medicating, and that the drugs were probably not legally prescribed for her. Bi-polar? I have no idea. I think it is some kind of disorder, but I know practically nothing about mental illness, so it's a total shot in the dark.

I mentioned in earlier posts in this thread that drugs can cause Bipolar-like symptoms which is why mental health professionals really should not diagnose many mental illnesses if a person is using drugs... legal or not, prescribed or not.

It is stated in the DSM that any substance abuse or effect of a medication do not count toward the criteria used for a diagnosis in Bipolar. http://bipolarworld.net/Bipolar%20Disorder/Diagnosis/dsmv.htm

I just pray Britney gets well!!

Thanks for that info, onelostgirl. :blowkiss:

OneLostGirl, thanks for the info. What you said makes so much sense. I wonder how many docs practice that though?

Brefie, I have to admit that I was one of those who was rolling my eyes at Brit. Thinking she was a loser doing coke and was throwing everything away. I just wanted to smack her. Now I've turned into her cheerleader! I hope she gets well. I'm really rooting for her.

Me too, SuziQ. I was thinking that it really only takes one dose of bad meds to start the process she seemed to be in. After that, she was not in control of herself at all. Lutfi could have killed her!!! I really, really hope that it's just as simple as that and not a serious mental disorder.
