All Things Dick Cheney

I agree girls, Girasole is a real 'keeper' of a fellow poster! ;)

After listening to all these shows today where this topic is being talked about continually, I think the real issue about Cheney is he is not reacting in the normal way and so it makes him look suspicious. Why did Carl Rove tell the Pres that nothing should be said about this to the public until the next day! It's either crazy or they knew it was borderline tragedy and needed to find out the true condition first.

Usually where there's smoke there's fire. I think there is reason to be suspicious, what with the possibility he had 2 or 3 Martinis before going out {that's his drink}, especially if R Reagan {news commentator} brought up this very fact right away. I've heard him mention this twice. Once on Sunday and then on Monday. The worst case scenario is if Mr W dies and it is told Cheney had had a few Martinis. What would happen then?

And can you imagine what one of us would look like and be dealing with, in misery's way, with 40 pieces of buckhot in that small area? Awful. You'd swell, it would hurt and then itch, maybe form puss pockets where the shot went in. I don't know. Maybe we have a hunter here at WS who has felt a buckshot or two!

Buzz, i noticed on the incident report Whillington had areas that expanded. One area from the face and one that was thicker down the chest. As if the birdshot came out and had more coverage in the four corners and Whillington was hit in the two corners.Close enough that the spread made an imprint of a close range shot hitting off to the left or right. However you interpert the drawings.
He was hit bad and heavily.
Cheney is hiding because he thinks this guy might die. All this time and no apologies. Just cover your butt and laugh about it and say he walked into the line of fire.
In a few days we might be mourning this guys death. We may have to consider a cover up. We may have to be Americans and say this man does not represent us anymore. He did not stand tall and own up to what has happened.

Scandi, I think that's the real issue here. (where I have bolded) Why else would they not let the local authorities near DC for what, 18/24 hours.

Like a thousand times worse than we have been told. And the guy is 78. We are maybe the generation that goes down in history with a VP that kills a man and yacked a name to the press that could get a CIA person killed.
He's one of the three original 1992 architects of the Mideast plans: Rumsfield, Cheney, and the present head of the World Bank, Paul Wolfowitz.

Buzz, would that be 130.7 pellets in that area? Doesn't 706 seem like a lot of square inches for that shoulder, chest, neck and head area for a man of that age? I'm sure you are correct though.

On Scarborough Coiuntry tonight it was said they believed the true distance was more like 15 - 30 feet away considering the protective clothing hunters wear and that the pellets actually went into the skin., and so many of them.
I also heard there may be many - 6 they said, pieces of shot around the guys heart.

If you delay the report, the report cannot reflect that you had been drinking.
This is serious. I worry for all of us as Americans as Cheney is VP. Bush should not be making jokes. Especially on the day the guy has a heart attack. He has birdshot in his heart. And we do not even have it confirmed that it is bird shot.
Maybe a bigger pellet. We are getting fluff. The guy is stable, he is joking with people. The guy was in intensive care, he was likely pulled out due to recommendation by the White House. He had a heart attack and it is reported as minor. My God will the spin ever stop?

Scandi, you misread my calculations; at 30 yards there are only 185 pellets in a 30" circle (707 square inches), so depending on the total square inch area of the wound, the number of wounding pellets would be proportional.

I'm thinking so too Girasole. He is an alcoholic from what I've read {2 DUII's} and having the TH say the word Martini makes me think he knows more than we do to suggest what Cheney drinks specifically. 2 + 2 and a 22, well that could be very serious, especially if the truth about Mr W's condition is what was said on Scarborough that they are talking about him possibly being in a condition where he could take a turn for the worse.

It is enough to make me very suspicious. I predict that Cheney will resign over this when the truth about the matter comes out. Drinking, irresponsible hunting, no legal stamp, the victim an elderly man going through unneeded pain and suffering. Just having that tube run up his artery from his groin is going to be darn uncomfortable!

There is a report, and I can't remember the name of it, where Cheney, Rumsfield, and Wolfowitz sat down in 1992, and designed a plan to defeat the mideast, one country at a time beginning with Afghanistan, and then moving on to Iraq, and then Iran. It was quite a piece of work. These guys are really tight with one another.

Heck Cheney could have still been above the legal limit from Friday night. In people that drink a lot, that isn't all that unusual.

I know what you are referring to...my mother sent me info on it and I was so appalled and horrified that I told her never, never to send me info again on it. It's something like New World...something, something, something. Argh...maybe I should break down and ask her. Pacific New World Treaty something? Oh the lost brain cells...

Perhaps Cheney SHOULD resign over this, but will he? I doubt it. He couldn't care less about appearances, laws, or the good of the country. All he wants is to be in power and be able to continue to feed his bank account and Halliburton with the spoils of war.

I find it positively inane when people have to resort to the misfortunes of one political party to deflect the misdeeds of another. But since there is an effort to do so, I thought it should be presented as a more thorough recounting of inccidents evenly distributed. Anyone can play that game. It isn't an exclusive club. We're not the Bilderbergs.
I find it positively inane when people have to resort to the misfortunes and injury of a 78 year old man to bring up quips and remarks about a certain political party.
But, since some people thought God said @ss instead of class, and hid behind the door, I should be more tolerant. ;)

If I decided to evenly distribute INCIDENTS from both political parties, I'd be writing for years just to cover the Kennedy clan. Just as I am sure you would take forever with the Bush family.

Now I'll sit on my hands before I write what I really want to write....:hand: :croc:

Because somebody just MAY die after being shot by the Vice President of the United States of America. This is a big story. Of course the Republicans want it to die.

I can't recall the name of that document--it's one of the things I should have bookmarked for reference, but I don't think I did, but everything was spelled out pretty clearly, and it was horrifying. I'm sure there ar a few political scholars on W/S that can help us out with it.

Maral, that is probably it. I'll have to find a link to it. It's appalling to say the least.
