New info of note to me: even Seasock told Scheffler "you can't walk away from the investigation'....where did that idea come from? did he know it was being suppressed? and we know they proceeded to do just that...case closed...WHY??

Seasock did not review, or did not see, Chambers' report...why not?? The investigator really grilled Seasock about what he knew compared to Chambers and himself and he did not have the full facts at all...so why was his advice accepted to close the case??

Why was the opinion of Seasock taken over Chambers' report? Was it more convenient to hear that he could not find JS to be a pedophile at age 50+? For whom and who influenced the case to be closed?

The report of change in demeanor of Sandusky when the mother questioned him...he came all excited to pick the boy up but became very quiet and non-responsive when she questioned him and told him not to call anymore...very revealing....

The mother was worried that JS knew which sliding doors were hers at the back of the apt....she wondered how he could tell the difference from other apts? Had he been watching the apt??

JS only called the son, not the daughter....

A lot of info here that tells me this case should not have been closed by DPW even if no charges, and the PSU staff should definitely have followed up with JS's behaviors...I don't care if they were not given the full report...Schultz knew enough about it to bring it to the rest of staff's attention....they could and should have asked for a copy if they really wanted to know what he was doing with children in the workplace facilities and they should have followed up...IMO

But nope, it was conveniently filed under 'admin info', case closed, we don't know nuthin' so we don't have to do nuthin', and quietly went the way of the wind....until it came back to howl thru PSU again...

The director of Clinton County Children and Youth Services says he has asked the state Department of Welfare to perform a review of how his office handled the Jerry Sandusky case as it relates to Victim One.

Gerald Rosamilia made the request after being questioned by a Patriot-News reporter about why no safety plan was put into place after Victim One -- the Clinton County teen whose allegations eventually led to Sandusky being charged with abusing 10 boys -- first came forward.

State law says that if anyone associated with a child care agency is accused, the agency must be notified and a written safety plan enacted.........

This is a great start, but questions need to be asked about why DPW itself, or Centre County C&Y, didn't notify the Second Mile in 1998, as we know by law they were obligated to do. By 2008, the ball was already rolling, and Sandusky's free reign with vulnerable children was almost to an end.

We have heard about the FBI and US Postal Service investigations, we know Curley and Schultz are having their day in court, but things have been too quiet on the Second Mile and DPW fronts.

IF a safety plan had been enacted in 98, would any extra attention have unearthed more signs of trouble; more boys with uncomfortable experiences where a trained psychologist could have put two and two together?

Or would it have ended up like the incident reported in Sara G's article yesterday, where Katherine Genovese, the well-paid 2nd in command at the Second Mile, reportedly told Rosamilia from Clinton County C&Y "We've had to tell him to back off certain kids before" (which a source close to Genovese has denied)? After all, if Sandusky was removed from the charity and the fundraising slowed, Dr Raykovitz and his wife may have faced a loss in their personal income.

Seascock's role is an interesting character. He did consultant work for Penn State from 2000 to 2006. Freeh concluded that his employment had nothing to do with the 98 investigation. What's funny is that the JoePa apologists take that as gospel while elsewhere accusing Freeh of doctoring emails. Personally, I would really like know to what exactly he did for the university and reach my own conclusion.

Things certainly seem to be in flux all over Sanduskyland. Maybe there are new charges coing up.
Second Mile is doing the first reasonable hing it has done since Abrahams took over, IMO. I wonder if recommending transferring thier program and its $ to Texas was something she thought up as a substitute for looking hard at Second Mile.

Greg Bucceroni sends off email detailing explosive allegations that late Poly Prep football coach, whom he met at fund-raiser for Sandusky's Second Mile charity, was involved in child sex ring.

In the email to Poly Prep, Bucceroni said he was "a child prostitute" and was associated with a pedophile ring that included Sandusky, Foglietta, now-deceased Philadelphia businessman Ed Savitz and former Wharton School of Business professor Lawrence Scott Ward, who is serving a lengthy prison sentence for trafficking in child and smuggling photos and videos of himself having sex with a teenage Brazilian boy.

"(Between) 1977-1980 I was a child prostitute associated with a tri-state (NYC-NJ-PA) pedophile ring. (During the) summer of 1979 I was brought to the State College area by Ed Savitz for the purpose of child prostitution with Jerry Sandusky at a Second Mile fundraiser," Bucceroni wrote in the email. I'm still very skeptical of Bucceroni's story. Chances are very good that Sandusky began abusing boys prior to 1998, but this gentleman's story keeps changing, now adding this Poly Prep coach to his story.

In the early stages of his tale, he didn't include Sandusky, even after the allegations came out. I am taking his version of things with a huge grain of salt.

The last order dated 9/4/12 is about the disbursement of assets being stayed until all claims by victims of Sandusky are filed and while they are pending. This can be lifted only by the court.

This could be why TSM has abandoned its internal review:

They probably don't want to pay for the investigation that ends up burying them, as PSU did with the Freeh Report. Either that, or the initial findings were so damaging they pulled the plug before it could get out.

We can only hope this makes Rakovich (sp) and his wife shake in their boots a bit! Somebody needs to get to the bottom of what they knew about what Sandusky was doing and if they were accomplices in allowing his grooming and abuse of the very children they were responsible for...How could they not know when he was counselor for the kids and she was in charge of funding his trips, conferences, etc.? Some people can be just deliberately blind when it is to their own advantage and they were making fantastic money off this organization....

Lawyers for The Second Mile, in their court filing, said the building sale proceeds would pay for victims' claims, programs, insurance and legal fees. They said the charity can operate from rental facilities in Bellefonte, several miles away. .............

The filing said The Second Mile was given the property as a gift, for $1, in 1999 by its previous owner. An appraisal in late 2011 put the value at about $560,000.

I should no longer be surprised when interconnections between people and/ or groups involved in this tragedy are found. But I am taken aback by yet another one. In 7/2011, it was announced that Katherine Genovese, wife of 2nd Mile CEO Jack Raykowitz, was elected to the PSU Alumni Council. I wonder if she can be impeached....
