Alligators seen dragging 'badly decomposed' body into Florida lake

A "badly decomposed" body was discovered in a Florida Lake Thursday, according to police, with witnesses claiming they saw a swarm of alligators dragging it into the water.

The body was found in Lake Maggiore’s mangroves in St. Petersburg at around 8 a.m., according to reports.

Oh my gosh. 16?? Why was he there? Didn't he have anyone to run to when he left the facility? It sounds like he got into some real trouble, but this child was alone in the world, if he wound up surrounded by alligators. I wonder if he was killed by criminal associates and just left there. It's heartbreaking.

Agreed. He removed the ankle monitor because his intentions were.... insert word of your choice. Doubtful he would put himself in that type situation.

"He was on an ankle monitor, he had been released from juvenile detention (June 29) and was on an ankle monitor and he cut that off," police officials told WFLA on Saturday.
