Gerard Baden clay: there is a delay in relation to the evidence brief. An investigative accountant is yet to compile docs

That poor accountant having to wade through that huge web of financial incompetency!

Just came out of the court. Judge wasn't happy. The police investigative accountant K. Beckett needs til mid November to give her report!

And then the defence will need all the documents to wade through as well, and that could take another several months.

So next court date is 3rd September.

There was just Mahoney and Boyle and some underlings as the lawyers.

I was sitting next to the sketch artist, and he was pissed as BC didn't even appear on the video link!

Yeah I can't understand this?

Statements about what? That is the question.

and what can that mean "An investigative accountant is yet to compile docs"

Surely they would have known it needed to be compiled by today???
Probably from neighbours, family members (Dickies & BC's), all the crime stopper reporters, all the forensic reports and interviews. I can imagine that they just add up to a lot of people

So the judge wasn't happy with the prosecution team?

Witnesses for one....colleagues...financial advisor....a whole range of people who knew him...

......& let's not forget TM!!!...lol. I wonder how long her statement will be.

....and all the other mistresses who crawl out of the woodwork!
Sorry, quote thing didn't work.

Nice one Nads xx

we have heard of three - tip of iceberg only ?

I heard of three plus another email one so I am being a smart a$$ saying 100's but I figure when you hit that many its pretty bad anyway.

An awful lot of people are spoken to/interviewed in a missing person/murder case, the brief of evidence for court matters as serious as this one are usually enormous

Waiting for Baden-Clay to face Magistrates Court via video-link this morning. Not a spare seat in Courtroom 18 @brisbanetimes

There were only about 25 seats for the public! I so felt like I shouldn't have been there.

I felt like I shouldn't have my ipad on, but everyone else did, so if there's a next time I will too!

This is so typical of court processes in Australia. That's how things drag on and on.

Gerard Baden-Clay hearing Magistrate "flabbergasted" that a forensic accountant will take four to five months to go through his finances.

There is still the appeal to the denied bail application which should be lodged by the 17th of July. That is, if they are going to appeal.
