Yes, there'd be no point. I don't think NBC would be the one talking. If there is any immunity being given {and we don't even know that} I'd hope it's only to someone who knows what happened, not someone who was involved in ANY way.

Has it actually been established that anyone was offered immunity? The only place it was ever mentioned (as far as I can ascertain ) was in a Paul Tully blog ( which I can't locate); the same blog where he said 5 people were involved. This assertion was immediately refuted by the Qld Attorney General, although IMO the language used by the AG may have been a little ambiguous ( never say never type of thing while lambasting PT) thus leading to the speculation that someone was offered and accepted immunity. Reading all the posts over last few weeks it appears that an immunity deal has been accepted as a given by many posters. Will be happy to be wrong on this BTW.
I doubt if NBC or any other BC family member would have been offered immunity as they would have had to open their mouths and actually say something. TM could be a possibility, but if so would be to a lesser charge than murder or accessory IMO.

It wasnt until recently that I realised that most cases like this the PERP usually confesses after being blindsided by the detectives, they plant enough fear and are convincing in this tactic making the PERP fear that if he co-operates his sentence will be reduced. What worries me is that, he lawyered up on the day she sent missing and had a QC the day she was found, his legal team would have given him the upper hand on what to expect and told him to say nothing. Its not up to him to prove he didnt do it, its up to the police to prove he DID! There have been many high profile cases over the years with far more evidence pointing to the perp ( OJ for one) who then got off. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence, phone calls, internet searching etc, and I hope to god justice is done, but I really worry about how much evidence was washed away with her body in a creek during bad weather for so long and so far, no hard evidence( that we know of) Imagine if one of the posters on this sight was accused of such a crime and the police seized their computers and found web site searches about all the stuff covered here, and someone had a bad nose bleed in their car getting groceries out as well as had been having an affair ( apparantly one in 3 men cheat on their wives, I suspect this to be higher over a lifetime) topped of by one of the neighbours hearing an argument and the inlaws dont like the partner and partner goes driving around to look for said partner making calls and then didnt tell police for fear of being incriminated or because felt to blame they walked out and was distressed and blah blah. This stuff happens everyday (minus the murder) in every neighbourhood.I once heard about a case of a man getting aquited because the traces of blood that were eventually found splattered all over the bed through forensic testing had no impact as the wife had also given birth on the bed! People have been framing people for centuries and while I personally dont believe anyone has been framed here, I wouldnt be able to prove it, and the defense will have the right to speculate on every possible humanly conceivable notion of what could of happened. Husbands and wives have been yelling, belting, cheating and disliking family members since the day we were put on earth, sad but true, doesnt prove someone is a killer. Just my thoughts on this due to my fear that justice will not be served.

you bring up a few good thought. My thoughts though regards to OJ Simpson, he was a lot higher profile case, in a different Judicial system and while I can see the similarities you are talking about, I think the cases are totally different for some of the reasons I mentioned. My other thought, while I admit to some small concern about the alleged PERP getting off, I do believe the police may have alot more evidence than what we could possibly know and so its hard for us to make a judgement on how it will go, when we don't have the evidence they do. Looking at the photos of the luminol testing in the Captiva, in particular with the rear passenger door. That does not appear to be something that could be cause by a nose bleed, unless somehow you are kneeling in the backseat facing the door and smearing your nose on it. lol. I don't necessarily agree most PERPs in these cases will confess even if blindsided by detectives.. Just MOO though.

I choose to have faith in QPS and that justice will prevail, But I understand some of your sentiment.

Like you BG, I have a horror of the thought that dear Allison may not ever receive justice, whoever the perp is (and I feel fairly confident it is GBC) due to fancy lawyer footwork.

No disrespect to the legal profession (one of my sons is a corporate lawyer lol) and I know our legal system is probably better than any alternative yet devised at arriving at the truth, but still... just saying

Also, My friend heard this story about who the witness is, through someone at the brookfield school where her daughter goes. Squiz actually heard it FACE TO FACE. so I dont know if Squiz and I have the same woman. I am waiting to hear more specifics from my friend first. I am trying to help strengthen Squizzeys fact that he has reported to us, but not yet able to verify my friends story. TRYING.

Only just trying to catch up. I don't think we should be naming the person on the facebook page. They are a potential witness for all we know. (I know you aren't doing that here, I'm just saying). I have wondered if this person was in fact the person others have mentioned in regards to seeing NBC at the roundabout. It was never stated on QPS what they actually saw. But I do know the time was approx 12:30 am. (Facetime call was reported to be at 12:20am..interesting- but could be quite possibly unrelated)..

I'm not even sure why QPS leave other people's comments up referring to things they delete. I was watching the QPS website sometimes over those early days, and I saw another thing of interest they deleted, but they leave all these 'thanks ..... ..... , that could well be crucial etc' type comments up, which make it quite clear who made the initial comments. Not sure if I'm making sense lol.

I was thinking about why NBC hasnt been arrested or anything yet, if he has in fact been implicated that night. And I wondered what everyone thought about that, and the fact he's not been granted visiting rights..just another thought popping in and out of my head
