So the court date in September, is that where they decide if there is enough evidence to go trial?

Committal hearing, yes. Round 1 for his barrister.

Just imagine how prolific we would all become if there was information "drip fed" to us on a weekly basis. Just one morsel..... We would be like a a Sandgate seagull on a chip! "please sir, can I have some more?" how do other forum topics keep their momentum?

When this was first reported my fatherinlaw told me that his offsider knew someone in the QPS and apparently they had got GBC to the stage where he was unbuttoning his shirt at the house about to 'fess up when his legal rep came sweeping in and told him to button up his shirt and say nothing. Have no link nor substantiated evidence so guess this is where I put MOO.

OT have bad toothache - any reccommendations for a dentist in Cairns?

nyall toothache drops or try sleeping with a mouthguard in, you could be a tooth grinder. i sleep with a cheap moulded sports mouthguard or the ones that come with tooth bleach kits, and avoided a root canal treatment. dentist said i would need a root canal but in the meantime prescribed antibiotics and recommeded a $600 personally fitted mouthguard which i couldnt afford, so took the antibiotics and use a cheap mouth guard, saved thousands! sorry off topic i know but trying to save maxwell smart !!

this image definitely shows low tide. so obviously she was found during low tide. MOO of course

if she had washed down from upstream, then wouldn't it make sense that she would be higher up the bank? something gnawing at my brain, but I cant figure it out yet. It's not coming. If Allison's body came down the river during a downpour, how fast did this happen? the way it has been discussed, it always comes across to me like it was pretty fast.

BUT, when I picture her body moving from a high tide position (ie up higher along the bank), then I picture the very slow moving of the tide from high to low, and I picture her body, very very slowly, bobbing and eddying with the water as the tide lowers. I don't mean to paint a huge visual and graphic image here, but the two dont go together, and like I said, I don't know where I am going here with this, but I keep coming back to the bridge being the place she was left.

Does any of this make sense??

Police allege Ms McHugh said their relationship ended in October 2011, when Mrs Baden-Clay discovered the affair, but resumed in December of that year.

Police allege that Mr Baden-Clay stayed in contact with Ms McHugh after Mrs Baden-Clay's disappearance, using a pseudonym "Bruce Overland" in emails.

Earlier this month, Mr Baden-Clay was arrested and charged with Mrs Baden-Clay's murder and interfering with her body by moving her to the location where she was found.

I have to admit that I've wondered the same thing... as the water goes down why would her body stay there? Then I thought if the place where she was, was level it would be less likely to move with the water. Not sure if that makes sense... like if it was level ground then the water could ease away without moving her?

Think some reports said 11 am on 30th April.

Sorry hadn't read your link.

Thank you Timmy - I hope you are right as we can check the tide and compare our photos of tide times and where the water level was.

Like everyone here, the roundabout thing has been driving me crazy. Something/someone 'out of place' was seen there on the night Allison disappeared which is of interest to the case, the police told us. NBC was allegedly seen there sitting at the bus stop by more than one person, some posters here told us.

But why Kenmore roundabout, all the locals ask, when it's far from being the most direct route to Kholo Creek from GBC's house? Plus, it's also probably the busiest and most well-lit place for miles around at that time of night.

What if -

GBC rings NBC at 12.20 am using Facecall to ask him to quietly drive out so as not to wake everyone and meet him at the Brookfield roundabout, not Kenmore, and NBC gets it wrong.

NBC drives to the Kenmore roundabout and waits in the car for ages, and/or sits at the bus stop (how would he ever sit in such a public place unless he was unaware of what he was about to be asked to do?). GBC finally turns up (or maybe does not turn up at all?)

"What do you mean you were waiting for me for ages?" says NBC, "I was here the whole time! I was about to ring you even though you made me promise I wouldn't and Facecall would not work from here. The Brookfield roundabout?? Why would you want me to meet you at the Brookfield roundabout when your house is just there? The Brookfield roundabout is not on the way to anywhere and you said you needed me to drive with you to a certain place. Do you want me to follow you in my car [maybe driving OW's car]? Sure, just tell me what this is all about first. Is that Allison sleeping in the back seat? Not sleeping, what, is she sick? You're pointing the wrong way, then. The hospitals are that way. Son, what's going on? .... What?!"

Terrible image there, sorry. Became very real to me as I wrote it.

WOW Summer......this last comment "moving the body to where it was last found" is big!! it would indicate she was 'dumped' at the bridge. I understand you cant always believe what the papers and MSM tell you (especially when the CM are involved. MOO MOO)

I thought so too Minni.

Caution: It's the only article in which I have seen that particular wording.

Yes Mani...I cannot blend together the image of fast rushing water, with the very slow ebbing of the tide that would place her there once the water reached low tide in time for the canoeist to see her.

In addition to that...I am skeptical that at low tide a canoeist chooses to 'canoe' with all the additional debris etc. Remember the canoeist log diary I found? they specifically talked about troublesome dead trees and logs and difficulty manouvering.

I cant say what is bugging me yet, only that it sbeen bugging me for ages. At the bridge, I was sure she had been left there, remember? and its not going away, only now Im getting a nagging about it too.

BUT, I don't know if I'm Arthur or Martha sometimes and nothing I think, say or do should be taken seriously!!!!!

Yes, I hadn't seen it before. For me, I have always believed she was left at the bridge, not further upstream. I know that the evidence we have points to further upstream, and I know that the majority believe she washed down and landed right under the bridge. Something I cant yet put my finger on stops me from believing it, even though everything points to Wirra Burra Road being the most logical and sensible place to go (at least in that very small area)
But I am going to keeping thinking it over, till something fits
