2.55pm: Mr Davis said: "We don't set out to prove there is a suicide".

He said while the autopsy report was unable to find a cause of death, it "points out drug toxicity is quite likely".

But Justice Applegarth read from the autopsy report affirming no cause of death had been identified because of the state of composition, leaving "a wide range of possible causes".

He said, for example, suffocation could not be excluded.

ut Mr Davis said the pathology report indicated there were levels of Zoloft which were "capable of killing Mrs Baden-Clay".

"There is certainly, on the pathology report, a real possibility that she died of an overdose," Mr Davis said.

would love to know what GBC got from the chemist that morning

Mr Davis said an autopsy report tendered during the first bail application found there was an unknown cause of Allison's death.

He tendered an autopsy report dated September 7 gave a description of what Allison had been wearing when her body was found, including a purple singlet, sports shoes and sports pants.

He read from an affidavit which revealed a man had seen a lone female walking on the left hand side of Boscombe Rd at 5.30am on the day Allison went missing.

Mr Davis said the witness thought it was unusual for a woman to be walking on her own and thought "for some reason or another that she may have been in some difficulty".

He said the description fitted that of Ms Baden-Clay.

Chipped tooth!
Forced to take something by mouth?

I wonder when this person came forward saying they saw a woman matching Alison's description out walking at 5.30am on the morning she disappeared? This is new evidence- I haven't heard this mentioned before.

If Allison commuted suicide and she knew he had a mistress, or mistresses, wouldn't she make a point of changing the benefactors of any payments to her parents or her daughters. Also I didn't think life insurance paid out for suicide.

Of COUSE poor Allison might have been taking drugs! She would need to, just to survive, married to a control freak!! This has no bearing whatsoever on what actually happened to her! Think I might go punch a wall!!

Exactly.... too many holes in their theory.

I was just about to say the same thing Curious. IMO if Allison had high levels of any drug in her system, it wasn't self administered.

MOO.

Zoloft! Used to treat depression....
Lethal amounts in Allison's body....

Someone way, way back in the early days talked about Zoloft.

Please don't fall for it, Judge

This can't be happening. I'm seeing people change their opinion already : (

I'd be VERY interested in that statement that there was enough Zoloft in her blood - after 11 days - to kill her.... Would be very interested in a pharmacological assay result, and whether or not there was Zoloft in the blood in the back of the car too - although that would be tricky...

An interesting post of Hawkins...

Hawkins said:
The taking of any drug, or combination of drugs, does not constitute a defence or excuse. Drug use may provide some evidence which goes toward one of the existing statutory defences such as diminished responsibility.

Found it from this post of grannie's where she mentions Zoloft...

She would have had to take a lot of Zoloft to die from its toxic effects. Presumably the bins were checked for packets. Also, you cannot buy large volumes of these drugs even with a script. And I'm very dubious about this new person who has come forward to witness her walking near her house at 5.30am...
