She would have had to take a lot of Zoloft to die from its toxic effects. Presumably the bins were checked for packets. Also, you cannot buy large volumes of these drugs even with a script. And I'm very dubious about this new person who has come forward to witness her walking near her house at 5.30am...

BBM Yes it seems rather sus to me.

Didnt GBC also say he was going to be a free man by July 1. Also telling TM he had to lay low and kept in contact with her from payphones before they found Allison?
Far out!!

3.10pm: Defence barrister Peter Davis argued the Crown case was circumstantial and said the toxicology report was crucial.

"The toxicology is very important at this juncture because it does raise, clearly raises, in our submission, she has died from ingesting drugs," Mr Davis said.

Mr Davis said notes Mrs Baden-Clay left in her diary fitted with the defence counsel's suicide theory.

He read from Ms Baden-Clay's diary.

Zoloft is one of the safest antidepressants, as overdose - even BIG overdoses - don't usually cause death. Usually has to be taken with other drugs or alcohol to cause severe problems.

And if that were the case - she would NOT have been walking - she'd be asleep at the side of the road.

Still doesn't answer the question as to HOW she got to Kholo Creek. She sure didn't walk there.

Not me!!!!

Me either but thats what they do in court with a Jury to cause reasonable doubt.

Thats only one small part of it, the prosecution has to say their bit yet which will be keep that murderer where he belongs.

I am just astounded. I never ever expected this today.

Of course you'd be able to fight and scratch if you were off your face on Zoloft..NOT

Yeah of course, I expect he will say he found that she killed herself and covered it up to protect her and the kids.

"There are fatal levels of her own prescription drug in her body... and she's deceased," Mr Davis said.

"In my submission, when you link that up to the fact that she's clearly having marital problems..."

What are they calling "fatal levels"? And after 11 days, too? At least he has admitted that she was on Zoloft as a prescription drug....

Just did a google search, apparently Zoloft can stay in your system for up to ten days.

defence is struggling with the suicide theory. Judge not buying it. We havent heard what danny boyle has to say.

And roll around the back of the car, walk to the bridge and jump off... yeah.

All while Gerard slept soundly, oh thats right there is that small detail about the phone being off the charger..hmmmm.

Common sense rules out that a person who is going to commit sucide from overdosing on pills, does not then walk 14km to jump off a bridge!! It's just NOT a plausable theory! :twocents:

I walked from Wirrabara Road to the bridge with a fellow websleuther months ago - and I can tell you it was pretty tricky. I ripped my zipper on one of the posts and we had to stop several times to negotiate the steep side of the road. And it was only 100 metres.
Send the jury out there to take a look. It would be impossible for a person to be drug affected to walk all the way from Brookfield to Anstead.
