Could the blonde hair belong to someone else, ie not Allison but maybe someone else involved in moving her body. :waitasec:

Just thinking this as one of my long hairs fell onto my sandwich plate as I hovered over it.

Yup - it could indeed - and don't invite me round to your place for sandwiches... ;) Just kidding.

But I'm sure that forensics would have checked the hair for its origin, especially if it had colouring in it which was specific to the salon where Allison went the previous evening.

But hairs can be tricky things.... not quite as cut and dried (no pun intended) as on CSI

Somewhere way back in the threads, we did actually discuss this. And I pointed out that there is no reliable way to AGE or DATE bloodstains, once past that first few hours. Once it's dried, in other words. There have been a few attempts at doing so, but none has been reliable or foolproof.

So we're left with basically two possibilities:

1. The blood came from Allison that night, as she was being transported in the back of the Captiva,

OR

2. The blood had been there for some time and had nothing to do with that fateful night. They'd had the car for about 8 weeks, so anything could have caused the bloodstain, from a cut finger to a nosebleed. The pictures of the bloodstains didn't actually show a huge amount of blood - it was made to look more by the smearing effect and the Luminol fluorescence. But my impression was that the stains were quite small, and tracked downwards a bit.

Now the most LIKELY thing is that the blood got there as a result of the dirty deeds of that night. But the other possibility is still logically feasible.

One thing we still don't know is any details about the blonde hair that was apparently found on TOP of the blood stain. But we don't know if it was STUCK into the blood (i.e. the blood was still wet when the hair landed on it) or if it was merely laying on top of the dried blood. And of course, analysis of the hair would then help to pinpoint times etc, given that she'd just had her hair done and coloured the evening before.

Yes, I remember those posts you made regarding ageing and dating Dr Watson. I suppose a cut finger COULD be a plausible explanation.
MSM reported that Mr Boyle said "the quantity and position of the blood" suggested that the seat had been "laid flat to make it a boot".
I suppose if ABC happened to be loading/unloading the boot of GBC's car, it is possible a cut on her finger (or some other area) could have left blood behind.
ABC using GBC's car with the back seats laid flat seems very unusual to me - and therefore not a very plausible explanation (to me). But it definitely is possible.
The MSM report could be incorrect in regard to the seats being laid flat too, which would lend more plausibility to a cut. IMO

I'll make sure I have my hair all covered up before inviting any guests over, might even shave it all off just to be sure of no more mishaps :floorlaugh:

I've never watched CSI but I would imagine they'd have to keep to the usual formula even if its not quite accurate regarding the forensics.

Did I miss seeing that the hair was found to be Allison's ?

I'm home with the raging flu right now so my memory might be not at its best.

Motive for what GBC said to police would be dependent on his guilt or innocence (of murder).
There are many possibilities for the FTP iPhone connection that could support either.
Thus far the only known fact that I have been unable to imagine a reasonably plausible innocent (of murder) explanation for is ABC's blood that was found in the car. IMO

I would love for GBC to be innocent of murdering Allison, for the sake of the 3 little girls. I try to keep an open mind and I am always looking out for evidence that suggests innocence but the evidence keeps pointing the other way.

Edit. If he is guilty, I would also love for the other BC's to not have had anything to do with Allison's death, again for the sake of the girls.

Nothing was mentioned at the bail hearing about the blonde hair in the blood and I was listening specifically for it as I think it could be extremely important evidence .

I'm not sure that they had a "His" and "Hers" car arrangement - I suspect they just used whichever car was the easiest to get out. The other one was a Prado, you may recall. So if they DID have a car they each tended to use, perhaps the Captiva may have been more Allison's car, being a bit smaller? Not implying anything sexist there - but maybe the macho man liked to drive the bigger car? And didn't the Prado have the business signage on the back window too, from memory?
So if Allison DID tend to drive the Captiva more, then maybe there was more opportunity to get an accidental bloodstain in there.
I drive a 4WD myself, and I often roll the back seats forward to make more room for stuff in the back - and my Landcruiser is a fair bit bigger than a Captiva. (Think trip to Bunnings followed by trip to the Garden Centre - my favourite ways to spend a weekend afternoon - NOT! ;) )
Any other Captiva owners here (I know of a couple) who may have any comments about how often you pop those seats forward to make more room in the luggage compartment?

Doc, I never (Well maybe once or twice) put my middle seats down in my captiva because I have kiddie car seats and they are a pain to remove and put back. Though without kid seats it is very easy to do, takes a few seconds. Allison's youngest would have still been in a kiddie car seat of some sort due to her age. Though this means one side of the middle row could be easily folded down in their car without disturbing the side with the kiddie seat. My very rear seats like the BC's captiva, I generally have down for boot space but do put them up when I have extra people in the car.

very early on in the threads someone who knew them posted who used what car and which car was sold, the number plates etc.... moo

Sorry,
I just wanted to add that there is a triangle of bushland, that the phone may have been thrown into, where no one would normally walk and the phone would never be found. I feel strongly, that it could be there and I've often thought it was an eerie place.
He may have driven along Kenmore rd, turned right into FTP rd, thrown it there, turned again sharply into Pylara st , and back up onto Kenmore rd again, to drive back to Brookfield.
This triangulated piece of bush, would be the perfect place to throw the phone and also turn back to Brookfield. It would only be in range of the Brookfield and then the FTP tower.
Daddio or the sister were at the brookfield house, with his phone, and they were instructed to send the texts after say 10 mins of him heading off, to make it look like he was at Brookfield at that time texting and Allison was alive and a long way from him.
Once the accused was satisfied that his plan was complete, he was at FTP, he got the texts, he could then dispose of the phone. He had to stay on main rds to avoid being spotted. This area would have been perfect.
I want to go look now. Wish I could.
What do you think Doc? Am I warm?

If you go Aunty, do watch out for those caterpillars! :what:

Yes, the Prado had the signage but ABC predominantly drove the Prado. GBC predominantly drove the Captiva. IMO

She had to lie down in the back seat because of very very bad menstrual cramps.

Please possum heart don't give the defence any more ideas .

That is correct. ABC drove the Prado with the signage on. Because she was driving around more (school, shops), she was the driving advertisement.

Did they? I wonder who that was and if they had a link? I can't provide a link, just that GBC drove the Captiva IMO.

Yes, thank you Davita. Was it you that said it in earlier threads? Do you have a link at all? Or just eyes like me :)

Alioop, if it was GBC ( I have to say I felt in in my heart, that her husband , a Brookfield real estate agent , had lost the plot when I heard about Allison missing on the radio when I was driving my daughter to school on that day) maybe the girls have learnt that a man, any man, even their own father, is capable of such a deed and learn what to avoid when they too, grow into fine young ladies, just like their beautiful mother. And...
Yes, I believe that GBC 's parents, the grandparents , won't give any information to the police, as they are grandparents and parents. They have a need to protect both their positions. And maybe they did just that. Maybe they did go to look after the girls, support GBC and still not get involved. It's the sister who I believe , was involved to help him get away with M..... er, as she would believe that only God would and should be his judge and jury, and it would give him time, in this life to make amends.
Sorry if I have offended anyone, but, I feel that the sister is very religious, and would think this way.

I appreciate you sharing your views Aunty. I do agree that OW as the wife of a baptist minister would be very religious. One of my best friend's father was a Baptist minister while we were growing up and has just retired. My friend no longer believes in God at all. She had too much of the strict Baptist ways and beliefs growing up.

I respect people's beliefs in religion but its not for me.

I feel the total opposite. His sister enabled him. But that is my opinion.

If you go Aunty, do watch out for those caterpillars! :what:

Looky here, :floorlaugh:
I have learnt something about the habits of caterpillars, and how to avoid them. It seems very strange indeed, but this green hairy grub, commonly refered to as a hairy caterpillar, prefers to rub itself upon and into an unsuspecting host... preferably one that wears a yellowey, mustardey, dirtishy coloured jacket when he is pretending to work and unfortunately due to lack of self respect and no sense of direction , smells like a..... wombat, (eats roots and leaves)

So, do not fear, I will be camoflaged well, and those peskey caterpillars wont know im there.
So, now.... where did i leave my pink floral gumboots, matching pink dress and my jean paul gaultier perfume?
(I didn't mention the koppers logs shhhhhhh)
Better stop hanging out here and join the real world. I hear snoring :waitasec:
