What I find interesting is that if OW was pre-organised to look after the children, so Allison and GBC could get to the conference, then why did he need to call daddy to look after the children?

sorry to quote myself, just following up on this thought, both NBC and OW probably jumped in the car together and travelled over. They were staying at the same house. (if they stayed at skull manor at all that night).

I think NBC's car was there but I dont recall hearing of another???

So, if that was the case (which makes sense to me if a distress call was put through by Gerard) then OW was there quite early.

Yes, I think we just need to be careful not to confuse the initial responding police officers (Ash and Hammond), who arrived about 8:15, with these two senior officers who arrived about 8:45 after having been called by Constable Ash, whose instincts were spot on.

It would appear that OW returned home after taking the girls to school around that 8:45 mark or just before, from that report. She was first noted to be there and just leaving when the first two police arrived at 8:15.

Which then raises the question - and of course it depends on the accuracy of those times noted by the police from their watches - what was OW doing for about 30 minutes? The school is just over the road. That would be enough spare time to take a a quick spin out towards Fig Tree Pocket to ditch a phone - oops, I didn't say that. Pure conjecture! But I'm not sure why it took about 30 minutes to take the girls to school.....

It would have to be a quick think with fresh 'peer's' organising the final responce....how to sort it all out and keep a straigh non emontional face.....

Join the defence force......:banghead:

I said most of this oroginally....given by respectable reports,,,but was cut off for months....from websleuths... I will have to be very careful in future...
Hope every one is going well...a shock for us all.....not forgetting the girls at Anstead...I lived over the road......many years ago.....

You lived over the road? Did you know ABC closely? If so, you must have been shocked and saddened by what happened.

and again...lol....sorry, thinking as I write....

s,. if the 2 assistants arrived before he went out driving around, which I'd presume they would have, they must have arrived by "about" 7??? so the call to them must have gone out at "about" 6.30??? to allow them time to jump up, throw on some clothes and head across in the car???

It still seems VERY early for such enormous panic and calling for back-up.
Allison wasn't VERY late at that stage.

It is very hard to believe this family does not know what happened to Allison, or at least have suspicions.

LadyBird1...it's all on the link Doc posted in previous post...

BBM

Two senior officers arrived at 8.45am and began talking to Baden-Clay, whose sister Ms Walton returned to the home.

"I asked her what the girls had been told this morning," Constable Ash said.

"She said 'that Gerard told the girls shortly after 6am that mummy had gone for a walk and probably fell down a hole (and) would not be back'."

Just thought of another angle Liadan. If you and I were siblings and close. And I called you at 06.00am asking you to please come here to my place ASAP.
(I have not said my children are sick or in any kind of trouble.)
Your response?

Hmmm difficult LB1 because if we were close I would say - sure but why? And would be there as soon as I could find my keys and get into the car.
And even if I asked and you said 'Just get here" I would say 'No probs - I am there give me a sec to find my keys!!!' After all what is a sister for?

Thanks for your honest answer Liaden.
Interesting.
I think I might say "What, right now at 6am?!" Then check that no-one died or anything serious, and the kids were OK. Different if it were later in the day. But that's just me!
Of course if we were in the same suburb, it might be different....

Not sure about that Obsessor - Bwana's car was there - but that Odessey wagon (rental maybe) that belonged to OW is in a few of the pics that morning.

LB1 - I think you got it in one LB1 - My siblings and I live within about 5mins of each other! (I know - its a bit scary but we wanted it that way!) So yes I probably wouldn't ask too many questions straight up - because I would be doing the same kind of activities as she or he at that time and would say to hubby - hey - Sissy/bro is in trouble need to go give her/him a hand. My Hubby would be like - 'what now -whats up...?' and I would be ' not sure will let you know soon as I know~!' and all would have been ok.

You are defs right tho - if my bestie had asked me (she lives in the next suburb) I would have done just as you have suggested! Great thought experiment LB1

I cant find any pics from the first day that the house was made a crime scene, so I cant be sure.
I saw the pic of the maroon odyssey, but I think that was from a later day.
OW seemed to drive different cars on different days.
So much we cant accurately clarify.
I know there was so much discussion about all these details, but I've forgotten lots now.

Sorry but I may be misunderstanding you, what is meant by 'I totally feel for the 2 girls, killed at Anstead'?.......is it OT or have I missed something-I'm interested!

TGY...Geanie is referring to the shocking crash which claimed the lives of two young girls last weekend out at Anstead.

so, text Al at 6.20, saying, good morning, hope you slept well, and then call dad to come straight over and help with kids as Al appears to not be coming home, then text Al at 6.40 to say "getting worried".

Yeah, right!!!!!!
