The full video of Olivia's impromptu 'press conference' of 13 March 2013 is available for viewing on Ian Walton's facebook, together with supportive comments from others.

I can't view that - he must have changed his privacy settings

I had not seen the whole footage and did not realise the media had the mic(s) on a stand ready for her to come out of Court! I thought they had just cornered her and it was not a pre-planned delivery. Very rehearsed, however I think her chocking when talking about Allison was genuine. IMO.

Personally, I don't think he ever planned on murdering her. It was said earlier on that he enquired about the insurances before her death because they were so short of money and thinking of reducing their liabilities/premiums. I think he killed her in a moment of rage and THEN realised he would get a $$ windfall from it. He may have then realised too, that the body needed to be found. Did he/they then go back around 4 am and move her body to a more visible location?

Yep, I don't think he had planned to kill her either. Just doesn't sit right.

I also don't think he ever truly intended on being with Toni. I think alot of it was just a way to lie to everyone to hush them up. This includes what he said to his business partners... you know how some people are caught in a sticky situation so they just keep lying? He couldn't bring himself to tell the truth "Oh no, I'm just screwing around with her, leading her on. Yeah mate, she thinks I'm all serious but really, who does she think she is? I have a few others too, so why would I settle for her? Plus I have a wife and as long as she doesn't find out I'm home and hosed!!"

He couldn't say that, so he had to lie.

I am sure he was trying to come up with a way to get money, but not so he could be with her. Perhaps he thought Toni might be able to help get some money for him if she thought it would let him come to her... then he could just dump her. He doesn't seem to be a man of high morals afterall.

I have known people who will use someones love for them to get money before, and then they come up with an excuse as to why they can't be together... seen it happen a bit. I don't think GBC would be above doing that.

Many thing were being reported in the initial weeks, but we now know that QPS believes she was murdered at home and later transported to the creek.

Apart from the 6 species of plant material found around the backdoor of their home, is there any evidence that links the murder to their Brookfield home.

Yeah, wonder what she was choking on, it certainly wasn't tears. Guilt perhaps? Who am I kidding... she was faking the choke.

As we know, he had other mistresses too, hence not loyal to Toni. Everybody knows that if you go through a divorce, you loose heaps financially, therefore, as you said, I don't think he intended on leaving Allison at that stage. He would tell Toni anything she "wanted" to hear to keep her happy. Most men do not leave their wives and children (unless the woman kicks them out) because of an affair.

Since the affidavits are being posted and presumably can be discussed, the statement of Const Kellie Thomson shows that she used the Find My Friends app on GBC's phone at 1:09pm that day, and it showed Allison's phone as being about 150m away somewhere near the garden of 61 Boscombe Rd. Const Thomson had tried to use the app earlier, but had got no signal on GBC's phone. You may recall that I've posted a few times that the signal varies a lot at Brookfield, and can change just by walking from one side of the house to the other.

Hope that clarifies things, RLTP ;)

Thanks Doc. Much appreciated. I was sleuthing the wrong two hours it seems!

OW's little speech reminds me of when your child is trying to convince you they're telling the truth. You know how there's always those tell tale signs that they're lying? Her display reeked of that to me. That's my opinion which is based on previous experiences of children trying to tell me they're not lying. hahaha

Thanks, Doc! I have played with the Find My Friend app on my iPhone and child's iPhone and found it to be very accurate, however, I am in a build-up central area (8km from the CBD). I don't know if the app would be as accurate in an area where the signal varies? If we take into account what has been reported about Jill's case and how Victoria Police tracked the movements of her phone (without actually having the phone), I'm wondering if QPS have been able to do the same, i.e. track the movements of Allison's phone that evening just using telco records.

Yes and the defence team haven't used any statements about Allison's phone and its call's, SMS's etc as it would definitely go from a committal to a trial
I think ( and please feel free to correct me) that the defence team choose the statements they are going to use

Just letting you all know, the documents of the bail hearing affidavit, which have been available for purchase from the courts, will be posted in a separate thread today.

When the link is ready we'll post it in here
:)

Thanks Marly. It is much appreciated. It has been limiting not to be able to talk about something which we know is in a statement that any member of the public can purchase from the court.

Ah the roundabout...... So many theories.

If we think back to the QPS facebook page there was a lady who made a comment that she "saw something odd" it was something small but ODD???

i think there was a man too who saw something not right at the roundabout and he also reported it to police?

I don't really know how the process is, but I'm sure there is a lot more that we have not heard yet.

Does anyone think TM knew the full extent of his financial woes? Would she really have wanted to take him on bankrupt? I guess we will find this out.

I must say that I thought his use of the word 'following' seemed strange. AND the fact that he couldn't seem to string two healthy words together. For a person who loved to hear himself talk he didn't do very well. To me that reeked of guilt rather than worry about his missing wife.

I agree linette - it reeked of guilt and sleep deprivation. IMO his head didn't hit the pillow that night.

This will probably sound really stupid, but is there a chance he had buried the phone in the back yard to get it out of the way quickly, then moved it later? Would it still show up as the 'blue dot' if it was actually covered by dirt in the yard or garden? It would be a good quick fix to temporarily get rid of it.
I'm thinking maybe in the garden area, under trees where it wouldn't be obvious that dirt had been disturbed.

But hadn't it already connected to the fig tree pocket tower a few hours before the senior police arrived? This phone thing confuses me no end :what:
