YES-and his FB posts are filled with goodness and sunshine!!! How does a monster like this hide in such plain sight???

They can because that's what monsters are made of. They can be anyone. That's why they're so scary. If they looked the part, they wouldn't have any victims....

It is sad that Gina's WS page only had 7 pages, and only 2 pages in the year 2004 of her disappearance. Why did this case get no publicity? At all??? What is Michelle Knights case? I googled her name and found nothing about her abduction.

Didn't anyone else get the impression that the 911 caller did not believe Her? He seemed like he could not wait to get her off the phone, which I would have thought he would have kept her on till police arrived. She seemed so desperate

bbm

That really bothered me. The 911 operator had no idea if the kidnapper was going to show back up at any moment or not, even though Amanda kept saying to hurry before 'he' gets back. She wanted a lifeline to LE so badly until they showed up in person, yet the 911 operator did not want to be that lifeline.

Do you want the honest ugly truth? She wasn't a blue eyed blonde. Plus when there is no news for a long time there just isn't much to say other than "where are they"

I searched the news archives online and found nothing for M. Knight's case.

I hadn't followed Amanda's case here. I did see this article:

In January, a prison inmate was sentenced to 4 1/2 years after admitting he provided a false burial tip in the disappearance of Berry, who had last been seen the day before her 17th birthday. A judge in Cleveland sentenced Robert Wolford on his guilty plea to obstruction of justice, making a false report and making a false alarm.

and:

Two men arrested for questioning in the disappearance of DeJesus in 2004 were released from the city jail in 2006 after officers did not find her body during a search of the men's house.

The article also mentions DeJesus' father and his frustration with his daughter's case.

I didn't know that there had been false claims on both Berry and DeJesus' cases.

Noticed this quote in this article. I would guess that possibly they did see her.

Ooooooo.....that article also says he was arrested for domestic violence in 1993.

Heavens, what those poor sweet girls must have suffered!

CNN: They are suffering from dehydration and malnutrition but are doing well.

Gina's page may not have got much notice here on WS but I assure you that those of us who lived in the area can attest to the fact that the Dejesus family kept her disappearance in the news for the past 10 years regularly. The family never thought she was dead but sold into the sex trade to "the highest bidder". The family always swore that they would fond her and kept her posters updated regularly. They were very vocal.

Okay, this may sound odd, but I much prefer when a monster looks like a monster. I think AC has a kind face, gives me the heevie jeevies, just goes to show ANYONE can be a monster. I have worked in LE in the past for fifteen years, and it never ceases to amaze me how some of the outward kindest most normal people are NOT....IMHO

Oh how I wish these evil people were easy to spot. Sadly they are not though. They look just like everyone else and are lurking amongst us. What a wonderful world it would be if we could spot them. Wouldn't it be awesome if one day we came up with a scientific method to detect these perps. MOO

on CNN the reporter said they are suffering from dehydration and malnutrition...

Charles stated that he told a neighbor a few months back that he felt something strange was going on in that house. I celebrate Charles...you are one of my heros. Thank you sir for doing the right thing. Go Charles.

Michelle went missing in 2002, so the child in the bed couldn't be her. The child has been identified as Amanda's child.

Yeah I just saw a news report saying Michele was taken in 2000. She's been on captivity for longer than the other two girls!! Just sad! I don't know all the penalties for kidnapping but he needs to be tried for just as long as murder. He robbed these girls of their younger years. Thank god they get a second chance at life!

He was a single man and there were three women, two of them children who grew into women. There was at least one baby born.

Did no one notice him buying women's clothing or babies and children's clothing? Did no one notice how much food he bought, or when he bought formula?

On his facebook he congratulates a female for giving birth and making him a Grandpa for the fifth time. I am wondering if he acted as if baby things and womens things were for his daughter and grandchildren.

They are not mentioning Michelle Knight at all for some reason.

On CNN John Walsh discussed something that may apply. He fears that perhaps the suspect may have used the ones he got first to help him get the others like in Duggard and Smart cases.

Family thought Knight may have left voluntarily all this time. She had just lost custody of her children.

So I think they may be waiting for more info on her circumstances before they talk much about her.

This is amazing news.

Can I take a second to appreciate the neighbor Charles? ... and his interview with the news station. He's hilarious (I know, off topic). He did heroic stuff today.. god only knows what went on in that house and what prompted the girls attempting to get away.

He was terrific.

The one sentence he stated sure said it all.

I think I am still in shock over this. One is exciting, two had me jumping, after hearing three girls found my heart was pounding.

What a day!!!

Listening to that 911 call just brought tears to my eyes! My god! You can tell she was petrified he'd come back even though at that point she is safe and free! Poor things :( horrible...

Sooo I have a funny feeling we may not get much information on these women, how they were abducted, how they were treated while in his custody, and all the information we want so badly, unless the 🤬🤬🤬 plead guilty. Otherwise they may be asked not to speak out due to upcoming trial.

That makes me feel a little better. It just made me feel so sad that Gina only has 2 pages in 2004 here, and as the poster above notes, it is because she is not a blue eyes blond. It is really a shame,

I think they just said on CNN that Amanda's mom had died, very sad, Amanda's happiness in gettin rescued has to be tempered by that news

Do you want the honest ugly truth? She wasn't a blue eyed blonde. Plus when there is no news for a long time there just isn't much to say other than "where are they"

This statement scares me. My daughter is African American and the most beautiful little girl in the world. I would hate to think that if something happened to her that people wouldn't care.

That said, I think it is also an affluence thing as well. This is Cleveland. Crimes happen every day there. I am sure the woman dispatcher did have her switchboard lighting up with several other urgent calls as well-shootings, robberies, etc...and that's why she seemed to give Amanda the bums rush.

Also, there is the element of "this shouldn't happen here." When we hear of things happening in the "inner city" we think, well, that's par for the course. Gangs, drugs, poverty, etc... There is also the element of people believing that girls of this age are runaways, especially of these means.

When an affluent child goes missing from a quiet neighborhood, it shocks people. They don't think a child would just run away from a beautiful home. Yet for some reason, I think when people here of "city cases" they almost resign themselves to thinking it happens all the time.

I am just so happy these girls were found safe and I hope they can heal from this horrible chapter of their lives.

Maybe it is just me or that I know who the caller is now after the fact but was the 911 operator rude? "I told you..." and other things. Even if she was not Amanda Berry and she was just a panicked 911 caller. Anyway, OT but sometimes the 911 calls released after are rude. Their job is to handle emergency calls and most likely panicked callers.
