Maybe we should become a society were LE just randomly show up at your door and do a search of your home and property. Not saying rip your house apart or go through your personal stuff, just do a room to room and property search. Would this deter horrible things like this from happening? I realize people have rights to privacy but if people know a search is possible, would it deter this type of thing from happening? I have nothing to hide in my home so they would be welcomed in. Three missing people found alive at once are 3 miracles. I wonder if the three brothers kidnapped each of the females over the past 10 years. I wonder if they kidnapped more people. I shudder to think of that.

Besides being unconstitutional, it probably wouldn't help much. Remember the guy overseas who dug under his home and kept his daughter down there? His wife lived in the home and never knew despite the fact that her own daughter was down there giving birth and raising her children.

IF someone would happen to go missing in your neighborhood it is possible that LE may ask to look in your home. But they can't enter without your assent or a search warrant.

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Amanda's mother died three years after she vanished, desperately hoping to find her. Her mom was only 44 years old. The ordeal had taken its toll on her health.

Psychic told her that Amanda was dead.
Not the first time that this psychic told a family with missing person that missing person was dead, when missing person was alive.

Sadly, I don't think that would work. Apart from anything else, can you imagine all the paperwork the cops would generate as they stumbled upon more minor infringements! :pcguru:

If they were already doing that then these three might not be here now to tell their sorry tale.

It really is going to be a case of being a nosy neighbour or not brushing aside our suspicions. However, in the case of AC there doesn't seem to have been a lot to raise suspicion with his neighbours - all I've heard so far is that he changed his vehicles often and his clothes even more frequently! Can you imagine calling that one in? "Yes officer, that's the fifth outfit he's had on today....." :floorlaugh:

This was posted in another thread...

http://deaniepeters-missingangels.blogspot.com/2012/07/amanda-marie-berry-missing-9-years.html

Sniped

"When Amanda never came home, her mother assumed she went to a friend's house to calm down. When the clock struck 1:30 A.M, her family reported her missing. Not only was she not answering her phone, but it was past 11:00 PM, which was curfew. She had never missed her curfew before.
A witness came forward, and claimed she had gotten into an older white model four door sedan, with three males already inside.
Amanda's mother had gotten a mysterious phone call a week after Amanda vanished. It was from a man, who sounded to be 18-30 years old. She did not recognize his voice. He claimed Amanda was safe, and he would be holding her. He also stated they were married, and that she may see Amanda in a few days. When her mother required to speak to Amanda, the man hung up. Her mother never did get to see Amanda "a few days later". It is believed the man who called has legitimate information about Amanda's whereabouts due to the fact he had called off Amanda's cell phone. The call was placed locally, by 58th Street and Clark Street. Amanda's phone has not been found.

That was Sylvia Browne, she told Shawn Hornbeck's parents he was dead too. :banghead:

AP news on the radio just had an interview with a neighbor that said her daughter saw a naked lady crawling in back yard a year ago, and there was a police report filed....has anyone found this?

ETA: found one:

Elsie Cintron, who lives three houses away, said her daughter once saw a naked woman crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard several years ago and called police. "But they didn't take it seriously," she said.

Another neighbor, Israel Lugo, said he heard pounding on some of the doors of Castro's house, which had plastic bags on the windows, in November 2011. Lugo said officers knocked on the front door, but no one answered. "They walked to side of the house and then left," he said.

Neighbors also said they would see Castro sometimes walking a little girl to a neighborhood playground. And Cintron said she once saw a little girl looking out of the attic window of the house.

This morning the police said they never got calls from neighbors about that house, but they are still searching.

When Amanda called 911 were the other two girls still in the house?

Thats what was reported. The police went into the house and rescued them after they arrived.

It's just mind blowing, that the kids that knew Gina, when they were all so young, are now finding out, someone in their family is responsible.
I just find it hard to believe they ( the brothers ) just woke up 10 years ago and decide to do this,

In my opinion, seems we may find out a lot more, about other women, children. I keep thinking about the sex trade as well..that is such a real nightmare in this Country.
