The only thing that bothered me about the 911 call was when the person said something like 'we'll send one when a car becomes available'. Like, the operator had no sense of urgency coming from the call. It is like being a Doctor I guess, there is a certain level of compassion and understanding of the caller that needs to take place along with the fact finding. Also, the operator never seemed to ask the questions I would think needed to be asked regarding her safety until they get there.

With adult missing persons, police often doesn't look all that hard. It is assumed that adult missing person has the right to just walk away.
Poor Michelle. At least the other two girls knew relatives were looking for them.

There is soooooooo much to be learned from this case that could possibly help people in other unrelated cases! My mind is going crazy with thoughts I'd like to explore relating to other cases.

Also from this link:

"But Perez said his sister did file a report with the police department several years ago after the two heard a scream nearby, although neither was sure from exactly where."

Telling police that they heard a scream but didn't know where it came from doesn't really give police much to work with.

Nine years before rescue, cops visited Cleveland home where women were held

In 2004, Cleveland police showed up at Ariel Castro's home on Seymour Avenue after Castro, a school bus driver, left behind one of his young passengers.
When no one answered, the cops left — never realizing that behind the door were two women who had vanished off the streets and would remain captive until they were rescued this week, along with a third woman missing for almost a decade.

Were the women there at that time, though. Suspect had at least three children. Werent' at least some of his children living at home at the time? What about his wife? I am not so sure victims were in that house all this time.

The 2 adult girls certainly look alike.
Amanda looks very, very happy. The other girl looks as if she is about to cry, which could be expected from a family member. The little girl must be completely baffled by it all.
Is this the first time the child has been outside?
What a wonderful day for them all. Truly amazing.

Random thought. General thinking is that if you are going to commit a crime you don't do it in your own neighborhood if you don't want to get caught. Yet these guys not only committed the crime of kidnapping in their own neighborhood, they held the girls in the same neighborhood. And they made it work. And no one noticed.

Ewww they are so creepy and ugly. Poor girls having to look at these creeps as they were violated. My heart goes out to these women. I wish I could wrap my arms around all of them and take away their nightmares and pain of what happened to them.

They're not going to fare well in prison. It will be a very dangerous place for them.

BBM

That's what I've been thinking - that Amanda, Gina, and Michelle may have been held somewhere else initially, then brought to this house at some other point in time.

Meg Kelly:

Neighbor reported her daughter saw naked woman crawling around backyard. (I didn't catch when this was). States called police.

No, neighbor claims the suspect took the child out. Said child was his g/f's daughter.
