Wow! All 3 look like a picture of one person with the aging process going on.

They sure do. I just look at those 3 pics and think YUCK. Those poor girls. That had to be horrible.

One thing's for certain: this miraculous story has forever changed how I view the missing persons' cases I follow. This gives hope to the families of other missing loved ones. Although the outcome of this case is definitely the exception, clearly miracles DO happen.

I'm so happy for Amanda, Gina, and Michelle, and happy for their families.

We have a local case of a girl that's been missing for 10 years this month. I won't lie, these girls being found gave me new hope that Tabitha Tuders might still be alive and one day might come home, too.

Were the women there at that time, though. Suspect had at least three children. Werent' at least some of his children living at home at the time? What about his wife? I am not so sure victims were in that house all this time.

LE have said all three have been at that location since they were abducted.

Both, Amanda's and Gina's homes all cover with Welcome Home banners and balloons.
Houses are being blocked off from all, but Media can still get glimpses.
I'm just so full of joy for these families.
I read that Michele's mom is coming from Florida.

I haven't seen that. Last I heard police haven't even questioned them that much.

The only thing that bothered me about the 911 call was when the person said something like 'we'll send one when a car becomes available'. Like, the operator had no sense of urgency coming from the call. It is like being a Doctor I guess, there is a certain level of compassion and understanding of the caller that needs to take place along with the fact finding. Also, the operator never seemed to ask the questions I would think needed to be asked regarding her safety until they get there.

BBM I think that is the part that bothered me as well. I just wanted to hear some compassion, concern, reassurance to a girl who was obviously scared, in fear for her life. I'm sure technically the operator did her job. I can't find fault in that. The police did arrive....just hurt to not hear the human element of compassion in the response.

LE have said all three have been at that location since they were abducted.

If that truly is the case, I am astounded that no one had any idea they were there. The more I think about it, I've been in pretty much every inch of my parents house and my inlaws house over the years. I have definitely been in attics and basements more than once. In fact, I would think it's weird if my parents/inlaws had some part of the house that was completely off-limits to everyone. Hindsight, of course, being 20/20. No accusation at all at anyone other than these three men.

Wow, it makes one wonder how many missing people there are in makeshift dungeons or captive in broad daylight. Natascha Kampusch, Jaycee Dugard, Elizabeth Smart, the Fritzls, Shawn Hornbeck...

Sadly, I don't think that would work. Apart from anything else, can you imagine all the paperwork the cops would generate as they stumbled upon more minor infringements! :pcguru:

If they were already doing that then these three might not be here now to tell their sorry tale.

It really is going to be a case of being a nosy neighbour or not brushing aside our suspicions. However, in the case of AC there doesn't seem to have been a lot to raise suspicion with his neighbours - all I've heard so far is that he changed his vehicles often and his clothes even more frequently! Can you imagine calling that one in? "Yes officer, that's the fifth outfit he's had on today....." :floorlaugh:

No snark intended but LE wouldn't be looking for minor infringements, they would be looking for the obvious, abducted children, secret passages/dungeons in basements anything that looks suspicious such as say chains attached to basement walls as an example. The paperwork wouldn't involve any more paper work then what the fire department does for business (not sure about the states but they do it here in Canada). Firemen go from business to business and check to see that businesses follows fire regulations/codes and has working fire extinguishers. It is called preventative measures. IMO it would cheaper to do this then spend billions of dollars on trials and housing these 🤬🤬🤬 in prison for the rest of their pathetic lives. Not to mention the cost of rehabilitating the victims and paying out compensation money to the victims. Which I believe they rightfully deserve. All the need is a plan and checklist of where they search. If no one is home, they need to go back until the person is home. If people knew they may have LE randomly show up at their door for a search, they wouldn't pull off this type of sickening crime. Off course JMHO.

This may have been addressed earlier, so I apologize up front if it has.

I live locally and our local stations are playing nothing but live reporting of this miracle. I've heard the 911 call probably 100 times today at work and two things that I noticed. First, it is obvious she had access to a tv because she says she's been on the news for ten year. Second, she knew her address! I know that's not that important but I wonder how....

Mugshots of the creeps

Only a mugshot photo, but of the 3 brothers' mugshots, Ariel Castro appears to still be quite smug, IMO. The ringleader. PURE EVIL.

Amanda was very sharp in 911 call. Very aware of what was going on.

Extremely, how did she know ten years? Wow, why did she not say 11,14, 8, or any other number.

Just this morning my wife was asking me what day it was, I am amazed at how clear she was.

I can smell a lot of lawsuits coming out of this, especially with the previous LE showing up at suspects home.

and the horror just continues to escalate

A source further noted that Knight told police that there was another woman in the home when she got there, but one day she woke up and the woman was gone. There is writing on the wall in the basement which includes the name of a female and says, “Rest In Peace,” but police do not know if that is related to the case at this time.

BBM This is just the tip of the iceberg. I agree with other posters, there are more women who have been held.

Sorry if this has already been posted. This thread is moving so fast.

More horror. Michelle Knight is reported to have hearing loss from being hit in the head repeatedly.

Just so sad,

I hope she is found too. I always say where there is breath there is hope. What is two things: Where a victim of a crime is breathing there is hope for recovery and hope for the future. 2. Where there is a family member, friend or loved one holding their breath for a missing person to come home---there is always hope.
