Evidently he hasn't signed over his rights to appeal. So in case he ever wins the right to an appeal or should win an appeal, he will have to register. (I also think it might partly be because they want to impress on him his crime.)

I do have to agree with this attorney that the specific details of what happened to these girls don't need to be made public. They have been through enough.

I'm not positive, but I believe one of the girls lost a baby when he beat her.

He wants to apologize? LOL too little, too late.

He could have apologized for kidnapping them right after he did so. But at the point where he touched them, where he violated them, where he held them captive for years, where he tortured them it is too late.

It sounds like face saving for me.

Michelle Knight literally jumped into a police officer's arms saying "you saved us, you saved us".

Police then found Gina Dejesus in another room.

OMG! Officer Johnson thought Michelle was a little girl at first. She didn't realize she was a grown woman. She was so thin.

Cleveland LE Barb Johnson testified that the women told her that Michelle was pregnant several times and when she was Castro would starve her for two weeks and punch her in the stomach until she lost the baby.

Officer Johnson saying Michelle was pregnant several times, every time he found out, he would starve her and punch her in the stomach until she would lose the baby.

Dr. Maloney - ER doctor is up now.

He is describing how they were when they came in. All emotionally distraught. Michelle had bruises and was malnourished. None wanted a male doctor.

Dr. Gerald Maloney:
--all three women were distraught.
--Michelle in particular was very upset and did not want male hospital staff to examine her.
--all three women had been sexually assaulted.
--all three were very much emotionally fragile when they arrived.
--Michelle had several bruises.
--All three were pale and said that they had been allowed minimal time outside.

All three of them were raped vaginally.

When the doctor testified that the women were forcibly raped Castro turned to one of his lawyers and spoke to him.

When Michelle was abducted she was taken to the house and tied with an extension cord and then taken to the basement where she was raped and restrained with chains and a motorcycle helmet was placed on her head.
