When Amanda was taken to the house she had duct tape placed on mouth and her arms and legs were restrained. She was raped and taken to the basement where a motorcycle helmet was placed on her head.

These descriptions of the abductions are horrific.

Sexual Assault detective describing how each of the girls were taken.

Castro put motorcycle helmets on the girls when he would sexually assault them. :maddening: :maddening:

All three of them were raped vaginally.

When the doctor testified that the women were forcibly raped Castro turned to one of his lawyers and spoke to him.

He has said it was consensual. I think he is only trying to promote some semblance of a mental illness. jmo

Castro used his daughter (who was not present) to lure Dejesus into his car and then into his home.

I agree. Castro's "poor me" testimony is going to make me even more angry than I am already.

Yeah what is up with the helmets?

Castro appears to be looking through black and white photocopies of pictures while listening to the Det. describing the horrific acts AC perpetrated against these young women.

Ditto!

There is no punishment harsh enough for him. :maddening: Well, maybe being castrated would help. :twocents:

While this officer is testifying about the ways the three women were raped Castro is observed shaking his head and muttering.

Police charged Castro with one count of sexual assault per month per victim for every year they were in captivity.

This defense attorney needs to shut up and sit down.

  • #731
Yeah what is up with the helmets?

I assume it was done to disorient the women.

Whatever the reason it is SICK and how terrifying to think of them bound with a helmet over their head.

And to muffle any sounds they might make. :twocents:

Defense argues any pregnancy she had would have been first trimester pregnancies. Prosecutors are whispering amongst themselves. Amanda's relationship with AC - stockholm syndome - but Amanda said it was "consensual".

Judge says - parties entered a plea agreement. The defense is aware of all this info and they entered plea agreement, each side had full knowledge and recommended to the court a particular sentence. The Det. steps down.

OMG I want to punch someone. I'm trying to watch/listen at work and people won't shut up!!!! Thank you all for transcribing details! I'm missing a lot. :(

I have an issue with the way this lawyer just downplayed the abortions.

Michelle was malnourished etc. How the heck would Castro even know she was pregnant until she was possibly further along than the first trimester?

Me too! He acted like it was no big deal! That's why I wanted him to shut up and sit down.

Exactly! She had to have been further along. :maddening:

Officer Joshua Barr (BCI) testifies about the hand gun found in the home.
Joshua Barr also measured and weighed the chains in the house.

92.28 lbs of chains were located in the home.

Why does he look so gleeful?? He's making me sick.

Joshua Barr - firearms, bullet, cartridge casings, GSR determinations. He generated a report for this case. States exhibit #18 - box containing a ruger service 6 revolver 357 magnum caliber from AC's home. Barr test fired weapon to make sure operable. He fired once in single action and once in double action - determined it was operable. He issued a report in this case - gun was found to be operable. He was asked to measure and weigh chains in this case. examined chains of all chains combined - measured them, some of them had smaller chains attached with padlocks - 99' feet long, 92.28 lbs it weighed. every section of the lab was involved - latent prints, forensic biology, dna, trace evidence - hundreds of pieces of evidence. AC is the biological paternal father to the child found in the home.

I really wish I didn't just listen to what that lawyer said. It hurts my heart.
