Welcome back Otto![]()
I like the grand entrance! Putting out the tweet....BAM!
Welcome back Otto![]()
I believe RGs blood was found in his bathroom, it could be true that his blood can't be dated there (like said of AK) but IMO it's proof he was actively bleeding that night. I could be wrong it's been awhile since I've looked at the evidence collected from his apartment bathroom.
ETA yes I just looked back over his blood was found on a towel, in the drain basin in his bathroom, and on the floor. Seems he was bleeding quite a bit IMO.
thanks, otto, for the tweets !! we can always count on you :great:
and thanks smk for the ones you just added !
OT: my dad died unexpectedly yesterday. i'm still in shock. mom found him in bed with no pulse/no respirations. he had a DNR so that was that! if my brain (posting) is scattered for the next little while, please bear with me. thanks![]()

FLORENCE, Italy (AP) —
The defense lawyer for the former boyfriend of U.S. exchange student Amanda Knox told an appeals court Thursday that the young lovers were blamed by authorities for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher to calm any fears that a monster was loose in their Italian university town.
Defender Giulia Bongiorno said her client, Raffaele Sollecito, and Knox were identified as suspects in a “record” four days after the murder in the picturesque central town of Perugia because authorities “did not want to think that a stranger, a monster, could have entered a house and murdered a student.”
Bongiorno said much of the evidence later used to convict the pair in their first trial — including the presumed murder weapon found in Sollecito’s kitchen drawer and a clasp that had been ripped from Kercher’s bra — had not even been gathered by investigators at that point.
Bongiorno, on the last day of closing arguments in the pair’s third trial, showed a court a series of slides and videos in a bid to dismantle the prosecution’s case.
Sollecito sat placidly at her side throughout
Grrr, the verdict has been delayed from Jan 15 to Jan 20, and now Jan 30 :furious: :furious:
It seems so :giggle:Just for you, SMK![]()
That's a good question. Kind of a scary thought for him, being there for the verdict, I would imagine, and with the Kercher family present.....of course, the court could possibly rule to acquit....At least he showed up - I do give him credit for that. I wonder where he'll be on Verdict Day?
Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on what is out there in the blogosphere:
On Amanda's blog - (in her comment responses, beneath With Respect to the Kerchers post) -

she does admit to playing an April Fool's prank with some other students, in her past, where they moved and hid items to make it look as though there had been a robbery. She says no masks were used and no people or property were harmed.
I must admit this seems a trifle to me, as the context is totally different from any crime. Of course some people think it is a massively huge deal, but just wondered if anyone had any opinions on the matter.
I guess I am bored and needed something to post about! ... :desert: :waiting:
Yes, that is the exchange, but I thought I wasn't allowed to post it from her siteSMK, can you narrow it down a bit? The exchange I see is from January 7. Is this the exchange you are talking about, or is there more underneath that?
'From what I've read, my response was - whoa. It is certainly very weird to hear her say things like, I just moved around some stuff to make it seem like we had been robbed. The exact "response" to the commenter's question is:
I played part in a April’s Fools prank that involved making a mess – moving and hiding stuff in the house I shared with friends – to make it seem like we had been robbed when we weren’t there. The ruse was immediately revealed after the initial shock. We – all of the mutual friends of my housemates who participated in the prank with me – apologized for the distress caused.
There was no harm to property or persons. Like so many things, this event has been exaggerated for the sake of sensationalism'

It is very odd to hear stuff like that, knowing all that happened afterwards. Just with the, you know, countless other pranks that could have been done, and it just happened to be that one, which seemed to have some repeat-elements in the (real) crime. It makes sense that, in a stressful situation where she needed a quick answer, she would turn to things she was already "familiar" with and which she had already done in her past.
This kind of, in some way, goes towards your theory, doesn't it? I guess it could go towards either theory....in yours, she just got someone else to do it for her, in the more mainstream guilty theory, she did do this herself in staging the burglary.
Very odd, that is what I'll say.
Oh wow. Can you send me a link where I can view the pics (of his apartment)? TIA.
Yes, I definately think he cut his finger that night. There is a large gash on his finger, and several days earlier he was involved in a murder with a knife. Now, let's say Rudy was fighting his charges, and there was a thread dedicated to his trial, and some people thought he was innocent "wrongly accused,' then people would be trying to convince me that the two events (gash on finger, and murder with knife) are not remotely related and what can I be thinking trying to connect the two, and don't I know that he got the gash from cutting his finger while cutting some meat to eat, and don't I know everyone gets large gashes on their fingers from time to time..............................
but well there are some things once can deduce, and there are some simple explanations for things if one doesn't choose to ignore things.....
and so, yes, he cut his fnger during the murder, and I'm sure it must have bled at the murder scene. I don't know whether he wrapped it up with something at some point, or not.
Yes, that is the exchange, but I thought I wasn't allowed to post it from her site- there was one further comment from Knox somewhere saying that no masks or costumes were used in the prank. and that was all.....
well, yeah: On the one hand, it could just be some unrelated prank of youth. On the other, though, as you say why of all pranks, this one??? AND it does appear to fit in a bit with thoughts I've had, and a staging in general.....Just thought it was interesting, and as you note, a bit odd......thanks for your input :loveyou:
Well, yes....unless they didn't want to be responsible for hiding or selling them......but I always thought the "nothing's been taken" from Sollecito to the 112 was an odd thing to say, IF he had wanted all to believe a robbery had taken place......anyone have any insight about this? because his saying "nothing's been taken" has often been viewed as a sign of guilt....I think Knox was thinking, best to just be straight about the rumor, yes....It seems the prank was successful in convincing the friends there were theft.
OTOH we are to believe the supposed stagers were dumb enough to not even take the 4 laptops.
