We don't know how tightly Filomena closed the shutters before she left. We do know that they weren't latched shut. I believe that only one of the shutters opened when the rock hit it and broke the window. RG then opened the other shutter with his hand. The shutter did not provide complete resistance because then the rock would have gone back outside instead of inside the room.

How did the rock get into the bag? Isn't the bag opening facing away from the window?
Yes, it looks like a very strange place for it to have landed.

Where is the window in relation to that metal chair and bag?

(Just a remark going back to the wall climb and the window entry: Officer Brocci had made a note that her own shoes had been stained with wet dirt and grass from the ground beneath the window; Ergo, there ought to have been stains of this kind on the wall or floor in Filomena's room.)
OK - answering my own question:

It looks like the rock had to go sideways. Just seems strange to me.

Only one inner shutter could have opened if the rock stopped when it hit the right shutter and then changed directions 90 degrees to roll under the desk (in a bag). Otherwise, it would have hit the other inner shutter. Why didn't the wooden shutter open when hit by the rock? If it did open, why did the rock change directions?

The number 1 in the following photo shows where the black bag and rock are. Do we know if Filomena left the doors of her chifferobe open? If so, that would provide resistance to the shutter coming open and change the direction the rock went into the room.

I would say, the back left corner of the chair leg component is 30"-36" from the wall, and if you drew a line from that corner perpendicular to the wall you'd be 4" - 6" inches to the right of the right side of the window frame.

Right, when you look at these pics, it looks like the rock moved along a very strange trajectory:

Obviously, if you are determined to believe that the rock could not have been thrown through the window, you will find a way to continue to believe that.

Ok, question for those that don't believe the window was broken from the outside in. How did the glass get onto the rug, on the floor, on and under clothing? And if one believes that the glass was picked up from the ground and put into the house, where is the small pieces of glass that would be hard to find to pick up in the dark? How about the dent in the interior shutter? How did that happen?

I think anyone that looks at the parking pad, the location where the rock hit the window, and the position of the rock, has to wonder why a 9 pound rock was stopped by a wooden shutter, changed direction 90 degrees, fell in a bag and landed under the desk. That has got to be one of the strangest trajectories for a 9 pound rock that I've ever seen.

We also have accept that the wood was so strong that the rock changed directions completely, but when the rock hit the bag, the bag held the rock and fell over.

Eye witness testimony has the glass on top of the clothing and laptop. The glass was moved by Filomina before it was known that Meredith was murdered.

Right, when you look at these pics, it looks like the rock moved along a very strange trajectory:

A trajectory from where? The rock could have been thrown from the ground, or the path opposite where you see the car (where the lawyers stood in the video) or even while standing on the window below (although I doubt the last, it is possible).

From the adjacent path where the thrower would be relatively level with the window, the horizontal angle could have directed the rock more sidewise than if it was thrown from straight on.

Those are valid questions.

I don't know if the rock was thrown from outside or inside. I don't have a good mind for visualization and I'm not adept at this kind of analysis (my mind is more given to theoretical and psychological analysis). This is why I like to read posters and experts on both sides, so I can see how all fits in with the innocence and guilt scenarios.

I am sure Otto or others could answer these questions aptly, and I look forward to their responses.

Yes, I will be the first to admit I am almost dyslexic with figuring out puzzles and physical and logistical things. I hear what you're saying, but cannot visualize it.

So Filomena moved the glass onto the rug? What about the glass on the floor beside the black bag and the glass under the piece of clothing very near that bag and rock? What about the very small pieces of glass and debris of the rock on the floor "under" the rock and beside it? And what about the window shutter, the interior one that is freshly damaged? How did that happen?

Horizontal and straight on? I don't understand what you mean. If the rock was thrown from outside, then it would most likely have been thrown from the parking pad. If the rock was thrown straight across, it would hit the window, hit the shutter and then keep going, wouldn't it? If the glass would keep going, why wouldn't the rock keep going? If the rock changed direction, why didn't the glass change direction when it hit the shutter ... as we know that the glass hit the shutter before the rock hit the shutter. How could the glass be thrust into the room and the rock turn left?

If the glass was propelled, ahead of the rock, into the room, surely the rock would follow the same direction. Why is the theory that the glass went one way and the rock went another? How does that work? Logically speaking, the glass and rock should follow the same trajectory, yet it seems to make sense to people that the glass sprawled into the room and the rock stopped, turned left, popped into the top of a bag, not the bottom, tipped the bag over and rested.

Some of the glass did "go left" along with the rock. There are two pieces of glass in the following photo.
