Much, much easier. Let's see.....several feet less to climb up, easy rails already provided to grab onto, involves more easy and simple walking rather than climbing, no shutters to deal with (while hanging off a wall), no need for needing to somehow manage rock and open shutter at same time and risk falling or getting cut all over with glass, or alternatively, climbing twice - if shutters were closed, less risk of falling back and dying, less risk of breaking bones, less risk of being seen, the wall texture is less slippery than the brick - so less risk of dying, and more.
The balcony is exposed, visible from the street and windows on the other side of it and lit by nearby streetlight. No way to safely break the glass.
Climb to Filomena's window which is not exposed and in the dark is childishly easy, as shown on TV

BTW, jumping down from 2 meters off the ground is rather not going to kill you :facepalm:
