Logical according to some people but not to everyone. It wasn't her toilet or bathroom and this was a share accommodation house. Why not let Filomena or Laura deal with it since the 5 euro fine for not cleaning was their idea. It was their problem not hers.

I'm quoting this again because I'd not heard about the house fines. I'm waiting for MichaelSmith to post his link but have others heard that the animosity had risen to this level?

She called her mother after a lot had happened. She'd discovered her house had been broken into, small blood stains in the bathroom, her friend missing with phones switched off and a locked bedroom door.

That seems more than enough to justify a 20 year old calling her mother.

It is. The problem is that she waited 2.5 hours before making the call, and in the meantime she had a shower, had lunch, mopped a floor and so on.

There was no animosity. :scared:

In a lot of share accommodation places there's house rules re things like cleaning. They had a fine system at the cottage that if someone didn't clean they had to pay a token 5 euro.

There's no mention of Amanda ever having to pay 5 euro.

But she did.

From SMK's post quoting transcript.

Edda: Okay, you called me first to tell me about some things that had shocked you. But this happened before anything really happened in the house.

In the 2nd part which Comodi exploited.... Edda is referring to the door being broken down and body discovered.

All I see is mum/daughter trying to reconstruct what had happened and figure things out.

Well, if you look a couple posts before that I posted a link to the transcript of that whole recording regarding that conversation.

If they were trying to reconstruct, why would Amanda deflect the question and her mother just move on without further questions?

Could you show me that please? I hadn't been aware of that so maybe your link will provide me with insite into other things as well.

Don't we need links if we post things as fact?

From transcript:
Edda: Okay, you called me first to tell me about some things that had shocked you. But this happened before anything really happened in the house.

I wonder what it is that shocked her, since the blood in the bathroom, missing towels, feces, open door and broken window did not shock her - and more importantly, Meredith's body had not yet been found.

What shocked Amanda Knox at 12:47 on the day that Meredith's murder was discovered?

Edda had 8 days to get up to speed with what was going on. Didn't she hire lawyers? She knew the murder happened after the first phone call. She was asking her daughter why she called before the murder had been discovered.

BBM

Why do you say her phones were turned off? Didn't they ring to be found?

Just because one time Amanda called it went straight to voicemail doesn't mean it was off.(could've been 2 incoming calls at same time) I thought the first call to Meredith's phone amanda made was long enough that it rang.

How long was the call to Meredith's phone before Amanda called Filomena?

It's very clear from the chart that most of the measurements in the bath mat print are consistent with the dimensions of Sollecito's foot.

if it was very clearly RS's print, it wouldn't still be discussed 6 years later :twocents:

Thanks but I think you posted the wrong link. That was in Italian. I'd really like to see it though if you don't mind.

it's the right link. It's in Laura's testimony. Pop the document into google translate.

Is the implication that no record of a fine means that Knox did not fail to fulfill small bathroom cleaning responsibilities?

What a farce

i know, eh?

plus, if MK was angry over poo left by RG, wouldn't she be mad at him, not amanda? it's just not logical.

i saw this recently and it sums this up well: something smells in poo-rugia, and it ain't the smell of chocolate !

If it's me that changed the discussion, I apologize. It was just that Harmony2 had responded to me with a pic of a bloody footprint by the bed to suggest Guede had sat down to take off his shoes there. To me, the photo looked like the footprint was walking past the bed rather than from someone seated on the bed.

I was really just responding to Harmony2 but it was from the last thread so I couldn't quote it. I really am sorry : (

No one is going to dictate the direction of the topic so no need to apologize. As long as we remain within the parameters of TOS we are free to discuss any topic. Moreover, no one's theory or opinion is superior to others, we are all on equal ground.

Regarding the footprints, considering that all the footprints were from Rudy's left shoe how do you explain placard 'B' in front of the bed? If he was walking toward the door wouldn't his right foot be adjacent to the bed?

The first phone call was 16 seconds. The PP were in possession of the phones at this stage. The second call to the other phone went straight to voicemail.

Filomena said she heard a message from the service provider when she tried calling.

Taking this from the previous thread:

Let me explain it in terms you might more readily understand. Human DNA is no different from any other DNA. For example, an influenza virus contains DNA. If someone sneezes into their hand, and at some later points grabs something like a doorknob, virus can be transferred to the doorknob. suppose you then come along and use that doorknob. Now virus potentially is transferred to your hand. Suppose now that you use this hand to eat with, or wipe you nose (or whatever). Now that virus can gain entry to your body and infect it. This is how most flu infections happen and why you are supposed to wash your hands.

Transferring human DNA is exactly like that.

You do not need to know the person the original DNA came from, or even met them, all you need is a route of transmission, and in this case there is a very clear and obvious route.

I'm learning so much about DNA and how easily it's transferred that I have to ask a question. I don't believe this happened but here's a scenario and sorry to be so graphic.

If Guede had seen Merideth on Halloween and touched her hands, then she had gone home and inserted a tampon, could she have transferred his DNA inside of her?

Look at the non-event held by the senator to see how few people actually care.

what is the evidence this was a "non-event"? what makes something a "non-event"?

and let's refrain from spreading more misinformation: many seem to care about knox and sollecito as evidenced by various forums, article comment sections, blogs etc.
