What Maresca and the Kercher's have done is beyond belief imo. Maresca has acted at times as though he was really representing the killer Guede by having no questions for him at the last appeal and even objecting to the defence questioning him.

As for the Kercher's, I find it very odd how at the start of the trial they wanted all the evidence looked at but then Maresca went and opposed all defence requests including testing the semen stain which would have proved once and for all what Guede really did.

Who cares whether the lawyer for Meredith asked Guede questions. Is that a reason to be cruel to Meredith's parents? Is the belief that the Kerchers can be forced to choose another lawyer? Of course Knox wants to get rid of the lawyer for Meredith. She also wanted to get rid of the prosecutor and everyone else associated with seeking justice for Meredith. Dr Mignini is right. There is something very nasty about Knox - he saw it six years ago.

Who cares what a lawyer does. Knox should quit taking it personally and realize that lawyers have a job to do and they're going to do it. That is not a good reason for Knox to do something that results in severe emotional pain for Meredith's family.

Yes I will never understand people's negative words about John Kercher and the entire Kercher family.

I think they have handled this with complete dignity, I mean how many times have you seen them in the media? They try to lay low IMO

Yes they've made statements here and there which is expected. Even from someone who thinks AK and RS are innocent, they should still be treated with respect. NOONE can say well if it was my daughter I'd stay unbiased because you won't know unless you are in their shoes. It's hard to stay unbiased when a PR firm is hired from the very beginning and your daughters name is forgotten.

Merediith's family has done nothing wrong. They are entitled to hire whatever lawyer they want. I know that regardless of the name of the lawyer, Knox would launch the same smear campaign.

Knox has been enabled far too long. Given how she is lashing out at Meredith's family, I think she blames them for the choices she herself made.

Van der Sloot spiralled out of control after he murdered Natalie. It looks like Knox's is taking the same path.

It's not a case of being unfamiliar with the phone records, it's a mistake and the transcript clearly shows Comodi referring to a call made at 12.00pm. Raffaele spelt Walter Biscotti as Valter Biscotti in his book. Does that mean he really thinks Guede's lawyer is called Valter? It's a mistake. No big deal.

The RS comparison is terrible, yes that's a mistake

I don't wish to get back into the phone call but AK made up a detailed call in her book that does not exist. You call it a mistake, I call it a lie.

John Kercher has used the tabloids many times and written a book (mostly about Amanda Knox). I think the rest keep a low profile because it'd be pretty hard to answer the hard questions about the case and trying to connect Amanda & Raffaele to Guede in a conspiracy when all of the evidence points to Guede who's going free next year.

They shouldn't have to answer hard questions about the case, it's why they have a lawyer representing them. It's a foreign country that they aren't fluent in the language.

They are trusting a system and being treated with disrespect for doing so.

Mr Kercher is a journalist. Is that now also a reason for criticism? Of course he has published a couple of articles about the case, but that was years ago. Is Knox angry that journalists published something that wasn't about how beeootiful she is? Any journalist that wrote that she is attractive was lying.

Are you saying that Mr Kercher wrote a book about Knox?

Guede will not be eligible for parole until May 2016.

It's very suspect how Maresca had no questions for the killer and didn't even want the defence questioning him. Maresca had been asking questions of every other witness including Amanda but none for Guede. How strange is that? You'd think as the guy representing the victims family he would have demanded answers about exactly what happened and exposed his lies.

It doesn't matter what the lawyer for Meredith does in order to seek justice. That is not a justification for what Knox is doing to Meredith's parents. They are both in poor health, <modsnip>.

Why would anyone have questions for Guede. He confessed to being present during the murder and has been convicted. He apologized to the family. He accepted responsibility. Asking or not asking a question would not change that.

He's out May 2014 confirmed by his lawyer. I've posted this multiple times, it's almost like there's an agenda to deny it.

If he rapes and kills another girl, her family will be wondering what deal Guede got and why was such a dangerous predator allowed back on the streets after only 7 years. They might even wonder why Maresca and his clients showed so little interest in him.

The Craziness Continues

By John Douglas and Mark Olshaker On December 17, 2013

http://mindhuntersinc.com/the-craziness-continues/

Now comes the report that Francesco Maresca, an attorney for the Kercher family, has put forth the premise that drugs and alcohol fueled a murderous rage on the part of Amanda, Raffaele and Rudy, said drugs and drink having “deprived their minds of inhibitory impulses.”

As if acknowledging that this scenario was unsupportable, Maresca declared that the “motive” was irrelevant since it had been proved the three were in the room together when Meredith was killed.

Except it hasn’t been proved. It has, in fact, been contradicted. Guede’s DNA is all over the crime scene. Amanda and Raffaele’s are nowhere to be found. This is typical of the illogic and outright fabrications that have characterized this entire sordid process.

Compounding the unbearable tragedy of Meredith’s death is the fact that her family has been misled by the police, prosecution and media to believe that Amanda and Raffaele participated in her murder. All of the evidence – every single bit of it – proves that Rudy Guede was her sole killer, and that her murder and sexual assault were secondary to his breaking and entering the house for burglary.

The depth of the major wound is about half of the length of the knife. One of the reasons why I think the murder wasn't really intended. High resolution pics of the knife show which part of the blade was scrubbed which also fits the idea that the knife wasn't fully pushed.

Wow, thank you, yes I agree with you.

Btw, what is that tint on the scrubbed part of the knife? Is it just my eyes or I see like a brownish tint (on the first about 1/2 of the blade where it's been obviously used/scrubbed/worn)?

Not to mention how many of her supporters below in the comments section actually talking negatively about the Kerchers, like they have done something wrong. Their daughter/sibling was the one murdered.

I mean really discussing why her family hasn't put up a headstone as if that's anyone's business.

Hmmm...or Amanda's complete disconnect with the real world could be because she only interacts with her supporters via her blog, lawyers, publishers, etc..

What you said about the comments regarding the Kerchers made me think ofthat.

How she probably thinks what she is doing is perfectly normal. Because that is all she is around and listens to.

I don't know. Just some thoughts.

She must read blogs and articles which from those who believe in her guilt, though, so she must have some idea of what they think.

I think in this situation, she probably thought she would come across as a very sincere friend to Meredith (see what a loyal friend I continue to be to my good friend), thus appeasing both supporters and those believing in her guilt. but she didn't do it right. Backfired.

It has more than backfired. Anyone that is waiting for the courts to decide will never forgive Knox for what she is doing to Meredith's parents.

From the comments section of today's entry

http://www.amandaknox.com/2013/12/17/support-meredith-kerchers-family/#comments

Amanda says
<modsnip>

Yet we are to believe she herself is unfamiliar with her phone records and "believes" MCs version.

Yes, and don't forget that because she doesn't know anything about her case, she is constantly being duped by prosecutors as to the evidence in her own case.

Even though she links to that same evidence on her own website, which she maintains.

And, as you pointed out, encourages other people to read up on her case.

Yet she is such a naiive little kitten, if the prosecutor says "jump off the bridge" she will just run over and jump off.

It's not a mistake. Amanda knows what calls she made. And she has seen the phone records in her own case. This is her whole life, do you not think she has seen the phone records?

As we see, she is on top of her case, immediately posting a response to Maresca on her blog, in which she states that she follows the happenings in her case very closely. Which should just be an obvious thing to anyone that she would keep up with her own case, as well as she kept up with it from the beginning. Obviously, it's her case.

She was not mistaken.

Is that like the mistake of forgetting that she was the one who accused PL?

If she is mistaken that she herself is the one who accused Patrick, then we have bigger problems, <modsnip>

Well I don't think Mr. Douglas and Mr. Olshaker will be making any presentations in court.

If she is mistaken that she herself is the one who accused Patrick, then we have bigger problems, and she probably <modsnip>.

The case is filled with minutia that I doubt either one of them could ever remember and probably wish to forget considering what they've been through. I remember an interview with Andrew Gumbell and he said Raffaele knew a lot about the case but it was Dr Sollecito who was the case scholar and he helped with a few things when it came to the finer details.

The transcript clearly shows the source of the mistake and that was Comodi telling her the call existed when it didn't. I've never researched and written a book about a complex murder case before that would have involved spending an enormous amount of time pouring over thousands of pages of transcripts and documents but common sense tells me there can sometimes be a mistake.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree about this.

Regarding the latest <modsnip> about Amanda's blog.

Amanda has the absolute right to declare her innocence. Meredith was her friend, this is integral part of the truth.

Nobody can demand Amanda to stop declaring the truth of her innocence. Not Maresca, not even the Kerchers.

The fact that Maresca wants to silence her voice of innocence, at the same time keeping the right of declaring her guilt and smearing her is perverse.
