I have also suspected he knew more than he has said.
If Dr. Beuf admitted he in any way suspected JB's vaginitis or bed-wetting were suspicious symptoms from sexual abuse, he'd be in serious professional and legal trouble himself. It would have been his job to call social services and report it, after all, long before she was murdered.
He didn't do that. So he has no other position he can take than he saw no signs of abuse.
Was he called that night by the Ramseys? I don't think we'll ever know, because of that cell phone record which was blank for the Dec. month when the Ramseys "turned it over" to LE a year later.
But how odd was it that Dr. Beuf was the physician called to the Fernies on the 26th? And he was the one who "sedated" Patsy?
If I'd ever heard the Ramseys claim they called him over for Burke, I'd find that more believable. The child had his sister murdered, after all, while he slept--or didn't sleep, whatever their stories on that ended up being; so I could understand that. But no one ever said Dr. Beuf was called for Burke, just that he came as a "family friend."
I do not buy that.
But John has another problem: if he ever admits he knew one thing or had a suspicion that Patsy was involved, than he lied under oath in a civil suit and that could have consequences, as well. For one, Chris Wolf could sue him into poverty and win this time, no problem. And anyone else the Ramseys threw suspicion on in their book, as well. The maid, for one.
Plus the Ramseys sued St. Martin's Press and Thomas and got a "settlement," whatever that was. Again, another can of worms opened for John Ramsey and Lin Wood. Would they both have to return the money in that settlement? Any legal actions for bringing a suit based on lies?
How about perjury charges? Judges don't much care for being lied to under oath.
There won't be any admission from the Ramseys.
