New Pitt Grandparents arrive to meet Shiloh

Brad Pitt's parents, Bill and Jane Pitt, arrived in Namibia yesterday to meet their new granddaughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. The proud grandparents arrived at a Namibian airport and then headed for the Burning Shores resort where Brad, Angelina, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh are staying.

*cough* i think Brad's parents turning up in Namibia speaks volumes.

perhaps this '5 million' dollar pic of the baby will be a 3 generation family shot?

or perhaps, with her brother there and his parents there, and having the relative peace and quiet of an entire resort shuttered off from the press they may have a wedding?

who can say . . . :)

Hmmm, could be. The only kink I can see about that is, I'd think AJ would want her mother there and she supposedly can't travel right now, due to alledged illness.

I'd just want to get out of there fast. I've read the heat and the mosquitoes are terrible there and I can barely tolerate it here in the south and I'm used to it. They are probably used to CA weather, which isn't humid. Wish I lived out there.

What is wrong with her mother? I haven't heard. Also, one article said that she was not speaking to her father. Are her mother and father divorced? Just curious.

It keeps being reported that her mother has cancer, forget which kind. But she has denied that her mother is sick but I just read this week that that's why her mother wasn't there for the birth. So who knows?!?

Oh yeah, her parents have been divorced since she was very young. I think her relationship with her dad was hot and cold for years, but they've been estranged since right before/after she adopted Maddox. Supposedly her dad blabbed that she was adopting. It was wrong of him to tell her business, but she should forgive him. Life is too short.

Yes, life is too short for arguments. You never know when it will be too late to tell someone that you love them. :( My dad died when I was young, but I have never been able to shake the feeling that I wish I had just one more chance to tell him that I love him. I hope whatever is wrong with her mother will be soon healed so she can meet her grandbaby. :D

My mom had colon cancer last year (thank God it was caught way early and she's doing great, didn't even have to have chemo). I hope her mother is also able to beat it, I couldn't imagine losing my mom and it was scary when I thought I might.

That's another thing, I know you have to live your life, but I wouldn't want to be traveling all over the world if my mom was battling cancer, or any illness. That's one reason I don't take those rumors as gospel, because IMO she would be there for her mom.

Reportedly Marcheline Bertrand, Angie's mom has Uterine Cancer.

BUT, months ago they were saying she was dying and Angie (who then was saying she was going to have the baby in France in tribute to her mother) flew her mom to be with her. WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH TO THAT as at that point in time it would have been wayyyyyyy too early for the C-section birth which Angie scheduled

I thought she had the baby C-section because the baby was breech. That is what the papers said. If so, very dangerous for the mother and the baby. Glad they caught it on exam and did the C-section. :)

Today in the paper it was reported that the Pitt-Jolie name, "Shiloh," came in third in the Worst Celebrity Baby Name Competition. Spice Girl Geri Halliwell came in second with her "Bluebell Madonna" and Penn Jillette came in first with his "Zolten," (which is the name of Dracula's dog, according to Jillette).

So we've got names reminiscent of a dog, a cow (?!) and another dog, respectively. Hmmmm.

Eve

That just shows that the person or panel who picked the Worst Celebrity Baby Names had no taste when it came to picking the name "Shiloh." I think it is a beautiful name. Now "Bluebell Madonna" and "Zolten" I agree should be on that list....awful.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will give the world its first peek at their newborn daughter by releasing photos of Shiloh Nouvel, with profits going to charity.

The images, taken at a private photo shoot, will be distributed by Getty Images, the photo agency said Monday. All profits will be given to charity, though no specific foundation was announced.

"While we celebrate the joy of the birth of our daughter, we recognize that two million babies born every year in the developing world die on the first day of their lives," the couple said in a joint statement. "These children can be saved, but only if governments around the world make it priority."

Good on Ange and Brad, giving the proceeds from the photo shoot to charity.
Now let's watch Tom and Katie do the same thing!
Pigs might fly, but you never know....

I don't think they are stingy...I think he is just too much into himself to think about the other people in the world. He concentrates mainly on the aliens. The ones who are going to save his short, manic, stupid soul.    However, if he keeps acting like a fool, even the little green men might not want to beam him up! ;)
